کچھ مجھ میں تُو ایسا بسا ہے
کوئی مجھ میں نہ میری جگہ ہے
کچھ دیکھوں تو تُو دکھتا ہے
میری آنکھوں میں تیری نگاہ ہے~Kuch mujhe mein tu aisey basaa hai
Koi mujh mein nah meri jagah hai
Kuch dekhun toh tu dikhta hai
Meri aankho mein teri nigah hai~(You’ve merged with me to the point where I don’t recognize myself
I only see you, no matter what I try to see
The gaze is yours through my eyes)Flashback starts;
Since that moment, he vowed to himself never to let Inaya or anyone else break his heart again. However, like all vows made to be broken, he couldn't keep this one either.
Whenever he saw Inaya, his heart urged him to see her again. His reserved nature became even more withdrawn, especially around her. It wasn't her words that caused this; it was his own heart.
All the clumsy things she did, which he once loved, now reminded him of his feelings. To keep his heart in check, he stopped smiling or even responding to her properly.
If he was a weirdo before, he became even more so.
All these years, despite his desire to control his emotions, he had only fallen deeper in love. Though he had sworn to himself that he would never confess his feelings or let her know of his love, he remained unable to escape his own heart.
He refused to disgrace his love or himself, holding a deep respect for his own dignity.
That day, at his sister's Mayoon ceremony, Inaya was a vision of beauty. Yet, he resisted the urge to look at her a second time, knowing that the more he did, the more his heart would yearn for her. Whenever he caught a glimpse of her, her words would flood his mind so intensely that all he could hear was her voice echoing in his thoughts whenever she was in his vicinity.
When he saw her accidentally spill a cold drink on Ammar and nearly fall onto him, something stirred within him, and he quickly caught her to prevent her from falling.
She looked so unreal up close, so beautiful that it caused a sharp pain in his chest. His heart ached with intensity.
His words came out colder than he had intended.
"Choti bachi ho? Tumney apni puri zindagi dimaag ka istemaal toh kiya nahi kabhi aankho ka toh karliya karo!"
(Are you a little kid? You've never used your brain your entire life, so at least try using your eyes!)
At Ansha's Mehndi, he again saw Ammar repeatedly gazing at her, who appeared divine. He was deeply unsettled by it.
Through his mother, he learned that Ammar's mother was interested in making Inaya her daughter-in-law. This news stirred a new kind of turmoil within him and left him with a sick feeling in his stomach. It was clear that she was destined to be someone else's, not his. His own mother seemed upset by the revelation but chose to remain silent.
That day, while sitting in the café with his friends, Ibrahim overheard snippets of a conversation from a nearby table. The person speaking was somewhat loud and frustrated, and Ibrahim's sharp ears caught fragments of his discussion.
"I know mom..... I can't help it. Inaya's so stubborn.... Main ajeeb phassa hun!"
(I know, Mom... I can't help it. Inaya's so stubborn... I'm in a strange predicament.)
