Hermione was enjoying herself greatly at the Burrow. She felt like she could really be herself. But she couldn't help but notice that Harry still hadn't wrote back which meant something was up. She knew it. She decided she'd bring it up to Ron. So that night, Ginny flopped on her bed and fell right asleep. Hermione had of course refused to let Ron sleep on the couch and suffered herself. She was sitting on the lumpy couch staring out the window at the beautiful night sky when Ron walked in and said, "Get up." "Oh we're doing this again."  Hermione giggled. "You are my guest and I want you to be comfortable so just let me sleep there!" "Fine." Hermione sighed. "Well that was easy." Ron smiled. Hermione got up and sat on Ron's bed. Now that felt weird. Wrong. But she was too tired to argue with Ron. Ron started to set up his sheets when Hermione asked, "Ron?" Hmmm?" "Do you think Harry's okay?" Ron stopped fixing his pillow. "Yeah." He looked at Hermione's clearly worried face. "He hasn't written back to any of us yet! You have to admit that's weird." "True But I'm sure he's fine." Hermione glanced sadly at Ginny. "Do you think he doesn't care?" "What?! No!!... I don't think so." Hermione sighed. Ron perked up. "Wait, Mione! We can take Dad's car and fly it to Harry's house., to see if he's okay!" "Ron, that's absurd!" Hermione said. "Besides it's too late." "No think about it. We'll leave tonight. We wake up Fred and George, they'll drive us and we'll come back and 'go to bed' and pretend Harry came in the night!" Hermione sorted it all out and it seemed like a pretty solid plan. "But what about Ginny?" Hermione pointed to Ginny's sleepin g figure. "She's fine." "Ron!" "Mione..." Ron made his pathetic imitation of Ginny's please face that no one could resist. "Fine!" She flung her hands up. "Let's go wake up Fred and George."

As it turns out Fred is the worst driver alive. "Fred not so fast!" Hermione who was sitting next to the window and trying to cover up her face with her hair. "Relax," Fred said. "I mean, how many muggles do you think are out at this hour of night?" He pointed to the clock which said three a.m. Hermione stuck out her tongue. She had to admit the Weasleys were very welcoming and made her feel like part of the family. But she wondered if that was a good thing. As they flew over Privet Drive Hermione yawned but then yelled, "Fred! Stop! Stop! That's his house address!"(She knew it from the address he gave her at the platform before summer.) She kept tapping Fred on the shoulder until he finally lowered down. "Okay! Okay!" Fred exclaimed. As they were about to land they realized there were bars on the upstairs front window. Hermione knew that was Harry's bedroom. They hovered until Ron got out to get the rope from the trunk. They tied it to the prison-;looking bars. They saw Harry perk up inside. He yelled through the barred windows, "What are you guys doing here??"  "Saving you of course!" Hermione grinned. So did Harry. But as they pulled off the bars Harry's uncle heard the raucous. "Harry! come on quick!" Hermione reached out her hand. Harry jumped into the car just before his uncle could get to him. "Nooooo!!!" he started to yell. Then he realized, "Wait. He's a bloody wizard what do I care?" Hermione just sat there puzzled while Ron and Harry laughed. Hermione turned to Harry and said. "Okay. Now explain what all that was about." And Harry did.
