Dusk had fallen all too quickly. The group of friends decided to go back to their parents. Luna started to say bye to everyone when Harry said, "Wait, Luna!" "Hmm?" "Uh... There's no easy way to ask this." He scratched the back of his neck nervously. Ron and Hermione were whispering and laughing together. "Ok-ayy..." Luna said looking ouzzled. "I was erm... wondering- if you wanted to be... more-than friends?" Harry asked very slowly. "I'd love to be your girlfriend." Luna kissed Harry quickly. Ginny looked downcast Hermione noticed. "Well I have to go. My dad's probably waiting. Byee." Luna gave Hermione a quick hug and just flat out ignored Ginny. Hermione noticed her looking left out and put her arm around her. Suddenly Ginny straightened up. "can you stay the night? Please..." "Well... uh it's really up to Ron." "If you want to." Hermione looked at her parents who looked like they understood. "Pleeease" Ginny said expectantly. "it'll be our last sleepover all of us together for a while." Hermione's parents nodded to her. Then she looked to Ron. "You're sure?" Hermione asked not wanting to be in the way. "Sure. Mum won't care, you know that." Hermione smiled. "Well okay." "Yay!" Ginny exclaimed. runnning to her parents to tell them. Hermione giggled. "Thank you" she mouthed to Ron. He nodded and took her hand and they ran to his parents too. Harry stood there for a second and sighed, "I hate being a third wheel." He said before following them.
If only they knew what was to happen that night...
