They ran to the field and Ginny flopped down. Harry did too. "I used to always come out her on summer nights with Ron to stargaze. Then i did it with Mione, and now I'm doing it with you." Ginny turned her head to Harry. "I've never stargazed before." Harry said. "It's just too bright in the city." "Well there's a first time for everything." Ginny replied. Harry looked at Ginny's happy face. She was always so positive. He wondered if under all that positivity was a secret she couldn't tell anyone. He knew he had those. Ron and Hermione proabably had no idea the nightmares he had almost every other night. And he didn't want them to. Thn they'd feel sorry for him. Maybe that's why people keep secrets, he thought. So things don't change. "That one's my favorite!" Ginny pointed to a constellation. "It looks like a bear!" Harry tilted his head to examine it. "Yeah! I guess it does!" "I'm so sorry, Harry." "For what?" "For evrything you're going through. The Dursleys sound like they suck." Harry's heart melted slightly. Ginny was kind of stubborn and annoying at times but she was still caring. It's like she knew what he was thinking. "Yeah they do." Harry replied. "But it's not all bad. It makes coming to Hogwarts all that sweeter." Ginny admired his optimism. "I'm trying to be calm about it, but I really feel like-kind of like Ron's rat decomposed and it's smell is wafting through the air. That's how nervous I am!" She laughed at her nonsensical metaphor. Harry laughed slightly then said, "Don't be! You'll do great! I know it!" Ginny smiled gratefully. "But what if I get sorted into Slytherin?" "So what? You won't- but if you did all anyone would think is that you're just cool." Harry reassured her. "Thanks, Harry. And thanks for helping me with the spell by the way. I think I'm getting the hang of it!" "You definitely are!" Harry told her beaming. There was silence. Just the sound of crickets and stillness. Then Ginny broke the silence and asked, "Do you love Luna?" "Huh?" Harry asked, clearly taken aback. "I mean, like, do you have to love someone to be their certified girlfriend?boyfriend?" "Well, I don't know. Love is a big emotion." Harry answered slowly. "Not really." Ginny said. "I believe in love at first sight because I think you always love someone. That's not what takes time. What takes time is realizing it." Harry realized the truth to what Ginny wa saying and was amazed at how wise she was at eleven. "Well we should probably get to bed." Ginny hopped up and pulled Harry up. "Yeah." Harry said still thinking through all that she had said, following her inside.
