Heavily laden, Lysanna had settled down in one of the front compartments of the train. The front part of the train was usually much quieter than the back, which suited Lysanna perfectly after all the hustle and bustle of the past few days. She had boarded the train with a smile, not feeling a second of sadness about leaving her old life behind completely. She had terminated her lease on the flat, which thankfully was no problem, and had safely stowed her few personal belongings in a suitcase that was now resting on the luggage rack above her head. Her whole life was in this suitcase. In the suitcase was also her ticket back to Hogwarts, a huge box filled with all kinds of exquisite chocolates. Chocolate and toffee obviously. Lysanna had spared no expense or effort, after all, they were her ticket back to Hogwarts, a little bribe for another chance.

The train pulled away with a whistle, leaving a cloud of steam behind. Lysanna had the entire compartment to herself. The quiet made her thoughtful, though in the recent weeks she had never really stopped thinking. She was looking forward to Hogwarts, to Severus, even though the reunion still caused her thoughts to spin. Severus still hadn't replied to her letter, but in just a few hours she would be able to look into his dark eyes again and finally tell him in person how much she had missed him. She was worried that he would be angry with her for her wrong decision, that she had hurt him too much, but on the other hand, they hadn't parted on bad terms. They had more or less agreed that it would simply be better not to try. A completely wrong decision, as Lysanna had quickly realised, at least for herself it was definitely not better. The train lurched to a halt in the middle of nowhere in Scotland. Lysanna had slept deeper than expected and it took her a moment to realize she had not yet reached her destination. She jumped, startled by the jolt that had rudely awakened her. It was already dawning outside, so she must have slept for several hours. Lysanna shivered, but initially attributed it to the fact that she had slept for so long. When the lights began to flicker and a sudden, oppressive silence spread throughout the train, Lysanna already had a sense of what was going on. Her heart raced at the thought that there might actually be Dementors on the train. She had already had several experiences with these dark creatures and knew the feeling that was slowly but surely spreading here. A seemingly unbearable cold seemed to creep through every crack and even froze the windowpanes, while the world seemed to turn completely gray. All the beautiful thoughts, all the joy, the laughter died as the Dementors made their way into the interior of the train. As long as the creatures were under the control of the Ministry of Magic, they had nothing to fear from them, even though Lysanna's trust in the Ministry had suffered greatly. They would not allow the Dementors to attack innocent children. But these creatures still caused fear and terror. Even Lysanna's hair stood on end every time she saw these fearsome creatures. This oppressive cold and this depressive mood, which their presence evoked, did not exactly make one feel comfortable when Dementors were nearby. She didn't even want to think about what was going on in the students' minds right now. She would have loved to get up and at least try to calm some of them down, but it really wasn't the best idea to face the Dementors directly, or even to get in their way.

Her gaze was fixed out of the window, the landscape seemed to fly past her as Lysanna pondered and eventually, with all these considerations, for which there were simply no answers, her eyes closed. The steady rattling of the train had made her tired.
