"You said there was something you wanted to talk about. Don't you want to talk about it now?" Mordred asked, sat down next to Yuto and passed him a glass she filled with wine.

"I just wanted to talk about what's coming from now on," Yuto said, blushing Mordred. "I no longer need your help in all honesty. You have other priorities than me. I can handle myself."

"Are you firing me?" Mordred asked, frowning.

"No, I am not. I'm just saying you're free to do whatever you want from now on. I will not interfere with your choices," Yuto specified. "I summoned you because I needed your help. I gave you a new life because I wanted you to be free. The life you have now is yours alone."

"What does it mean?" asked Mordred, confused by Yuto's words.

"You were able to give birth to Martha because I used the Holy Grail to reincarnate you as a human being. The Grail has reincarnated you as an individual different from the treacherous knight Mordred. You are just a normal human being in this world now," Yuto replied.

Mordred opened and closed her lips. Yuto's words were hard to digest. She knew that Yuto would never lie to her and, most importantly, he would never want to hurt her.

"Why did you do it?" That was the only thing Mordred could say.

"You and Rin saved me. I wanted to do something for you. I never found something you would be pleased with until Claire got pregnant," Yuto said; a sweet smile adorned his lips remembering those moments.

"That little girl is my niece... who is my daughter now... and..." Mordred came to realise something as she felt her heart beat faster and her face warm.

"Your eyes were glowing. You were happier becoming an aunt than we would be parents," Yuto said, chuckling. "And so I decided to give you the only thing you never had: freedom."

"But to do so meant creating a new me," Mordred said with mixed feelings.

"You've always taken care of me. I have only caused you problems. I wanted to do something for you at least once," Yuto said, turning to his sister.

"Why do you tell me now?" Mordred asked.

"Because a problem has arisen. I can't see my life without you," Yuto said.

Mordred could not be angry with Yuto despite his having acted against her will. She was furious and wanted to yell at him, but could not get any cry out of her throat.

"I love you," Yuto said directly in Mordred's mind. "I love the person you were and who you are now."

Mordred felt her heart beat faster.

"These are my feelings. I will wait as long as you need. Eternity is nothing to me after all," said Yuto, finally parting with Mordred.

Mordred sighed. Her head told her to leave because their marriage was only a deception, while her heart told her not to give up. She understood her feelings seven years ago.

"We have about 500 soldiers ready to fight. They are not many but they are still enough to hold the enemy," Kurtis said, admitting their overwhelming inferiority.

"The number is only approximate," Claire said. "The king has saved more people than he can remember. I gathered those who had nowhere to go and taught them the basics of magic."

"How many people are we talking about?" Yuto asked suspiciously.

"I would say two hundred at least," Claire replied, surprising many. "Also, why don't you ask for help from Fairy Tail?"
