Yuto was swearing inwardly at his lousy fortune that he had to strike at the worst moments. Was it too much to spend a couple of days without his life being put on the line?
The dawn had just arrived and the boat on which Fairy Tail member and Juvia sailed crossed the waves of the ocean, chasing the scoundrels who had dared to kidnap Erza and Happy and ruined everyone's holidays. The idea was to use Natsu's nose to pursue the kidnappers while Gray drove the boat, but unfortunately the motion sickness hit the Fire Dragon Slayer. That task was the responsibility of Yuto who, despite the motion sickness that was torturing him, remained focused on his target.
"I'm worried about the people who were trapped inside the cards," Lucy said sad, "do you think they'll be okay?"
"Their target was Erza if I understood correctly," Mordred reassured her, "once they got what they wanted, they no longer needed the hostages." She looked at Natsu and added: "Besides, they believe you out of the way. We have the surprise factor on our side"
"I hope so," Gray said looking around, "but are we sure this is the right route?"
"Yes, their smell comes from this direction. Moreover..." Yuto stopped when he was forced to vomit at sea, disgusting the other passengers.
"Geez," Gray said, "take it back, man."
"It will be pains for you if you dare disappoint Gray," Juvia added menacing.
Yuto grunted. It wasn't as if he was doing it on purpose to get sick, but that was a side effect of the Dragon Slayer Magic; the best of the three.
"Jeez ... I can't believe how easily they were able to beat all of us. We're pathetic," Gray looked away and slightly snorted, "where were you when we needed?"
"Listen to me, Icy Stripper. I am not your babysitter who comes to put on a bandage when you get hurt and Yuto doesn't have the crystal ball that allows him to see what happens at every moment," Mordred growled menacingly, "we can't always be there to save your ass. So learn to defend yourself and also to kill if the situation requires it"
"Yes, I'm sorry. You're right," Gray admitted by looking down, "we have to save them at any cost."
"They must have been powerful magicians to defeat someone as strong as Erza," Juvia said.
"Don't talk nonsense!" Gray turned to Frowny Juvia, "she didn't lose. Stop talking about Erza as you know her."
"Maybe it's like you say, but they said they were old friends of Erza," Lucy remembered that she was bleached when she saw Sho, "at the end of the day, we don't know Erza as well as we think."
Everyone had their own secrets they wanted to keep hidden and the reasons they were kept hidden from others varied. Lucy and Gray had them, and even Yuto and Mordred kept everyone in the dark about details about their lives.
Suddenly, Natsu got over the motion picture and got up from the edge of the boat. He looked around, smelling the sea air. "I sense something dangerous..." he said.
Suddenly, dark clouds covered the sky and a flock of birds flying over died instantly, falling into the ocean.
"The birds..." Lucy said frightened.
"What's going on?" Gray was alarmed.
The group stopped when they heard the boat slamming into something. They turned to the water and noticed a shocking spectacle. A multitude of dead fish and wood debris floated beside them.
"Even the fish," Yuto said surprised.
"I've never seen anything like this," Juvia observed.
"Wait a minute," Gray looked at a piece of wreckage closer and was speechless, "that's a wreck of one of Fiore's warships!"
