Yuto took a deep breath, relishing his newfound freedom. He was finally free from the prison in which he had been placed (a gigantic lacrima crystal placed in a secret room under the castle) and the one in which he had been put by Gilgamesh.
The process to remove the King of Heroes from his body was a success, even though it took everyone's help: Claire, Auros and Shirou had weakened Gilgamesh enough that Irene needed to use the Separation Enchant successfully.
"Don't worry. I haven't forgotten our agreement," Yuto said, sensing Irene's presence behind him. "Merlin is finishing the final preparations. It shouldn't take long."
"I know. I trust you," Irene said, rubbing her left elbow with her right hand. "I was wondering why you decided to reveal such a secret."
An all-mighty cup capable of granting any wish would have attracted everyone's attention, from the council of magic to Invel and Zeref himself. She was still a Spriggan Twelve and one of Yuto's enemies.
"Yeah, well, because I want to," Yuto said, turning to Irene. "That hellish tool has done no good since it was created."
Irene blinked her eyes in dismay. A similar motivation was too weak for someone like Yuto. She had a feeling that their deal was not involved.
"Tell me the truth for once," Irene said, crossing her arms under her breast and staring at Yuto firmly.
"You want the truth, huh?" Yuto smiled softly. "I want to make you happy."
Irene opened her mouth slightly to the surprise.
"I don't care if you're a human or a dragon. I would like you even if you were a demon. But I don't want to see you suffer," Yuto said, surprising Irene even more with his honesty. "Do you remember that night?"
"Do you mean that famous night?" Irene asked. "I only remember I was naked on your bed the next morning."
"We drank a lot the night before and you started talking about what your life in Dragnov was like and..."

- Camelot, 400 years before...
Yuto was really annoyed by Irene's attempt to seduce him and make him feel guilty. Many kings would not have any problems, but he was not one of them.
"I don't like what you've been trying to do. I understand that time is running out, but you still have days. Nothing is decided yet," Yuto said, trying to understand the reasons that would have pushed Irene to an action as vulgar as it was disgraceful.
"I know. I'm sorry, but I need that secret," Irene said mortified. "If I don't get it, everything I've worked for and endured will have been in vain."
"Being married to that dog must not be easy, but it's not how you get my favour," Yuto said, sipping a sip of wine and sighing. "I'll pretend I didn't see anything this time. Don't try again."
Irene nodded. The shame she felt was indescribable.
She tried to forget by starting to drink. Normally she did not, but it was necessary this time.
"Don't overdo it. This is capable of knocking down Auros," Yuto said.
Irene nodded that she was not drunk and could handle the alcohol. Yuto was not too sure because of the redness on the woman's face.
"Pour some more wine. I don't want to think about anything else tonight," Irene ordered, moving her glass forward.
"I understand you're desperate, but you don't have to stoop to become a whore," Yuto said, still pouring the drink. "Think of all those who are waiting for you in Dragnof."
