Zuko looked really nice in green. Sokka came to the conclusion as he tried to capture the Prince's likeness in his picture.
"Guys! Stay still I'm trying to capture the moment!" He shouted at the room.
"Awe, that's so nice So-" Katara started but stopped when she reached his side. "Wait why did you give me Momo's ears?"
"Those are your hair loopies!" Sokka defended, pointing to the lines.
"Why am I firebending?" Suki raised an eyebrow, leaning against Mai who's arm was around Ty Lee.
"I thought it looked dynamic...." Sokka began to sulk a little.
"I look like a man." Mai pointed out, raising her eyebrows.
"Hey lay off guys," Zuko walked over and looked down at the painting. "Why..." He stifled a laugh. "Why is my hair-"
"Don't you dare start." Sokka looked back at him.
Zuko apologized quickly, putting his hand on Sokka's shoulder.
"Sorry, it looks great." Zuko smiled, leaning down and kissing the side of his face.
When he pulled away, both him and Sokka came to the realization of what they'd just done at the same time. And both of them looked over at Katara.
"What?" She uttered, wide eyed.
"Shit-" Zuko whispered, covering his mouth. "I forgot where we were for a second."
"Katara?" Sokka's eyes never left his sister's face, even as he stood up slowly.
"Since when?" She uttered, looking between the two.
"Since... before he joined the group...?" Sokka replied awkwardly, edging over to shield Zuko with his body.
"WHAT??" She slammed her hand down on the table.
"Watch the art!" Sokka stopped the ink from spilling.
"We wanted to tell you sooner but..." Zuko started but Sokka put his hand on his arm, giving him a small nod.
"Let's go outside."
Katara trailed after her brother to the balcony, leaving a deathly quiet room behind. The rest of the room - minus Toph - turned to look at Zuko.
"She didn't know?" Aang reiterated, his air sphere that he'd been playing with Momo with long dispersed.
Zuko shook his head and then pinched the bridge of his nose.
"I didn't think I should have told her..."

The moon rose above the walls of Ba Sing Se and cast a soft blue light on the roofs leading to the balcony. Sokka rested a hand on the railing and let the cold of the night seep into his skin. The talk with Katara had gone relatively well after she calmed down a bit. She seemed to understand where he was coming from in the end (what with not telling her sooner) and had given him a hug before leaving.
"It's a little bit cold out isn't it?" Zuko walked down the steps to the balcony, his hands holding a thick blanket tightly around himself.
"I thought firebenders didn't feel the cold?" Sokka mused, turning towards him to let him snuggle next to him.
"I let myself feel it sometimes."
Sokka nodded, putting an arm around Zuko's shoulders and pulling him closer.
"Are you nervous?" Zuko asked after a few minutes of them standing in silence.
"For?"
"The future..." Zuko sighed, looking out across the city. "I don't know how things are going to be... with me as the Firelord and fixing things after the war..."
"I'm sure things will work out just fine," Sokka gave a reassuring smile. "And I'm here with you the whole way."
The Firelord gave him a grateful smile and put his own arm around Sokka's waist. The two watching the last fleeting embers of the sun fade into the horizon with an anxious yet hopeful gaze.
