Fleur went out of her way to avoid Hadrian and no one knew why besides Appoline. The two had refused to explain anything and just gave them the cold shoulder anytime it was brought up.

Hadrian for some reason was pulled towards the girl, he found her very pretty and just wanted be be close to her, but she clearly did not feel the same way. It frustrated him but he stayed patient.

He never understood why she ignored him until he overheard a conversation between Fleur and Apolline, not intentionally though.

"Mama! I don't want to be bonded with him! It's not fair! You said I wouldn't have to deal with being bonded with someone because I'm only a fourth Veela!" Fleur sobbed, hiding her face in her hands.

Apolline could only feel guilty and sad, she didn't want her daughter to be bonded to someone for life, she wanted her daughter to be able to find a man who she truly loved. Apolline was lucky that she was bonded to a kind and loving man. "I'm sorry dear, this hasn't happened to any of your cousins so I'm not sure why. Maybe you should try and get to know the boy?"

"No! I hate him!"

"Dear, you haven't even talked to him."

A million thoughts raced through the boy's head. He knew he was bonded to a Veela but never thought it could be Fleur. The puzzle pieces finally went together and he finally understood why she avoided him so much. He was her jailer and would be bonded with him for the rest of her life without a say in it. Hadrian could only feel guilty.

January 30th, 1988

Today was Lily Amaryllis Potter nee Evan's 28th birthday. A select few mourned this day, being Petunia, Lily's sister. Despite them losing their bond after Lily became a wizard Petunia still loved and missed her sister. She had only cut ties with her sister as she married that Toe-rag potter. James, he was slightly sad today, but he couldn't remember why. Sirius and Remus mourned the loss of their dead friend, especially since Remus was Lily's best friend. Severus, despite calling her a mud blood in their 5th year deeply loved the red headed book worm.

Hadrian stood infront of his mother's grave, he didn't have many memories of her after he turned one but he still loved his mother. He vividly remembered her begging Voldemort to spare her children and even tried fighting the man without a wand to protect them. She gave her life up so the twins could live.

"Happy Birthday Mum." Hadrian choked out, trying to hold back tears. Remus and Sirius decided to let Hadrian have some time alone with his mother. "I... Hope your happy, finally getting some rest. I read some of your journal, but decided to wait and read about your hogwarts experience until I start at hogwarts. I hope I can meet your friend Severus. I really miss you. I have so many questions I want to ask, but.." Hadrian couldn't control the tears. He sobbed, clenching his heart.

"I-I miss you so much mum."

After sobbing for a whole twenty minutes he finally stopped. "I heard your favorite flowers were Asphodel Lily's. Which is kinda ironic since your name is Lily.." he jokes weakly, "I went to Flouriblunder's and got some seeds, I also heard it was best to plant them in later January to Early February.." he silently cleared the snow from the grave and silently planted the flowers.

Unknowingly, a tall dark haired man silently watched Hadrian, listening to the boy talk to his mother.

"I hope you can rest peacefully mum," Hadrian smiled softly at his work before standing up and leaving.
