"Grab her and take her to the basement we have someone waiting for her there" The woman slurred pointing to the child that's hiding in the corner with a base ball bat in her hand.
She has some bruises on her face but she doesn't care.
The man started walking up to her and she swung the bat, it hit him in the face but that just got him very angry so he grabbed the bat and hit her head as well.
Her vision became blurry but she ignored it and tried to defend herself.
"Get here child" he sneered dragging her hand down the basement "no! Stop mummy!? Daddy?! Help!" She screamed as tears ran down her face but did anyone help her?
No. Not even her parents they just watched with beers in their hands.
"Mama please! He'll hurt me!" She thrashed in the man's arms.
"Shut the fuck up and it will be over before you know it" he said tying her up on the bed.
"No I don't want! Let me go!" She kicked and tried to cut the ropes or get them off her.

-I bolt upright in bed, heart pounding, the nightmare still gripping me tightly. My stomach lurches, and I barely have time to rush to the bathroom before I'm retching into the toilet. The acid burns my throat, the taste sharp and bitter.
As I'm hunched over, the nausea overwhelming, I feel a familiar hand grab my hair, pulling it back from my face. It's Theo—his touch is unmistakable. His other hand starts moving gently down my back, his fingers tracing a soothing path along my spine.
"Easy," he murmurs, his voice soft and comforting. Despite the chaos inside me, just hearing him brings a sense of calm.
I don't have the strength to speak, to tell him I'm okay, but I let myself lean into his touch, trusting him completely. His hand on my back steadies me, the motion rhythmic and comforting, easing the nausea bit by bit.
Finally, the worst of it passes. I'm left trembling, weak, and more than a little embarrassed. But Theo doesn't say anything, just lets go of my hair and helps me lean back against the cool bathroom wall. He crouches down beside me, his expression a mix of concern and the easygoing calm that's so typically him.
"You okay?" he asks, his voice low, as if he's afraid of startling me.
I nod, though I'm still catching my breath. "Yeah, thanks," I manage to whisper, feeling a wave of gratitude mixed with the lingering remnants of fear from the nightmare.
Theo stays beside me for a moment longer, his hand still resting lightly on my shoulder. He doesn't press for details, doesn't make a big deal out of it, just sits there with me until I finally start to feel like myself again.
