Ever felt like something is wrong and you don't know wether it's good or bad?
Exactly how I feel right now.
I'm getting ready to go meet up with Sasha but something feels off.
I shake my head and sigh, walking to my closet.
I left Nicks penthouse a few days ago after Dio got discharged, she went back home and I made sure of it. She said she wanted to talk with her family.
I quickly accessorised and went down stairs to grab my Apple Juice.~/~/~
I walk into the café and immediately spot Sasha at the same table we sat at last time, by the window with the soft morning light streaming in. She's stirring her coffee absentmindedly, her eyes drifting out to the busy street outside. As I approach, she glances up and her face lights up with that familiar, warm smile.
"Hey, Sasha," I say, sliding into the chair across from her. "Good to see you again."
"Adri," she replies, her accent still faintly there but softened by years of living in the States. "I was starting to think you'd gotten lost."
I chuckle. "Nope, just the usual New York traffic. How've you been?"
She takes a sip of her coffee, setting it down before answering. "Busy, but good. Work's been... well, it's work. But I'm glad we could find time to meet again."
"Yeah, me too," I say, leaning back in my chair. The first time we met up, it felt like a floodgate of memories and emotions had opened—catching up on all the years we missed, talking about our lives since we last saw each other as kids. This time feels more relaxed, like we're settling into the rhythm of having each other back in our lives, even if only occasionally.
"How about you? Anything new?" she asks, her eyes searching mine with a curiosity that reminds me of when we were kids, always wondering what the next day would bring.
"Nothing too crazy. Just work, the usual routine," I say with a shrug. "But I did finally book that trip I was telling you about."
"To Italy, right?" she remembers, her eyes brightening.
