The moment we step into Dio's New York mansion, it's like walking into a wild dream. Lights are flashing, music is thumping, and there's a buzz of excitement in the air that just screams this is gonna be one for the books. Dio, being the absolute queen of chaos that she is, has outdone herself. The place looks like something out of a music video—massive chandeliers, neon lights, and people already getting wild on the dance floor.
Dio practically bounces into the room, holding Matteo's hand. She spins around, soaking it all in like she's the star of her own show. "Welcome to the best night of your lives, losers!" she yells over the music, throwing her hands up like she's on stage.
Matteo wraps an arm around her waist, grinning. "This place is nuts, love. You really did it."
"Duh," Dio says, smirking. "Did you expect anything less from me?"
I catch Nick's eye as he steps up beside me, surveying the room like he's already predicting the chaos that's about to unfold. "You ready for this?" he asks, slipping his hand into mine.
"More than ready," I say, pulling him towards the bar where Theo and Lia are already mixing the most questionable cocktails I've ever seen. Theo's got this manic energy—more so than usual—like he's been chugging Red Bull on top of everything else.
"Shots! Shots! Shots!" Theo chants, pouring tequila like he's auditioning for a bartender gig he absolutely wouldn't get. Lia's giggling uncontrollably next to him, already halfway through her drink.
"Theo, what did I tell you about mixing tequila and Red Bull?" Lia tries to scold him but ends up laughing too hard. "You're gonna explode."
"Lia, sweetheart, it's called living on the edge," Theo declares, raising his glass. "Besides, it's grad night! We're invincible!"
Rora struts over, Drew in tow, looking effortlessly perfect as always. She raises an eyebrow at Theo's concoction. "Are you trying to poison everyone, Theo?"
Theo just grins. "Only if it means we all go down together."
"God, I need something stronger," Rora sighs, snatching a bottle of vodka and pouring herself a generous amount. Drew just shakes his head, looking both amused and slightly concerned.
"Baby, maybe pace yourself," Drew suggests, but Rora just waves him off.
"Please, I can handle it," Rora says, downing her drink in one go. "We didn't get all dressed up to act like responsible adults."
Nick raises his glass to that, and I clink mine with his, the liquid courage already starting to warm me up. It's not long before we're all on the dance floor, moving like we own the place. Dio is right in the middle, yelling something about how she's queen of the world, while Matteo just laughs and spins her around.
At some point, Theo decides he's suddenly a dance prodigy and starts doing some ridiculous moves that look like a mix between breakdancing and having a seizure. Lia's too busy laughing to care, cheering him on like he's performing at the Super Bowl.
