Karan sat in his office, staring at the ominous message on his phone:
"Be careful who you trust. Not everyone is who they seem."
He felt a chill run down his spine.
His instincts told him that someone was watching his every move.
Determined to get to the bottom of the conspiracy his parents had uncovered, he decided to visit an old family friend who might have some answers.

Preeta and Savi, meanwhile, were still poring over old photographs and letters in their apartment.
The mysterious man in the background of Preeta’s tenth birthday photo was their main focus.
"Savi, do you think this man could be connected to the flowers and the secrets Karan mentioned?"
Preeta asked, her brow furrowed in concentration.
"It’s possible. We need to find out who he is. Maybe he can give us some clues about what's really going on,"
Savi replied.
Preeta agreed, and they decided to visit the local archives to see if they could dig up any information about the mysterious man.

At the university, Ishaan was teaching a class, but his mind was elsewhere.
The conversation with Anjali weighed heavily on him.
After class, he received a message from Anjali:
"Meet me at the café tonight. We need to discuss the next steps.
"As night fell, Ishaan made his way to the café, where Anjali was already waiting.
She greeted him with a serious expression.
"Ishaan, I’ve found more information. Your parents and Karan’s parents were indeed working together. They were trying to expose a powerful group involved in illegal activities,"
Anjali began.
Ishaan leaned in, his interest piqued.
"What kind of activities?""Smuggling, money laundering, and even political corruption. They were close to uncovering everything, but then... they disappeared,"
Anjali explained.Ishaan felt a surge of determination.
"We need to continue their work. We need to finish what they started."

Karan arrived at the home of Mr. Mehta, an old friend of his parents.
The elderly man welcomed him with a warm smile, though his eyes held a hint of sadness.
"Karan, it’s been too long. What brings you here?"
Mr. Mehta asked,
ushering him into the living room.
"I need your help, Mr. Mehta. My parents were investigating something before they died. I think it got them killed. Do you know anything about it?"
Karan asked bluntly.
Mr. Mehta sighed, looking weary.
"Your parents were brave, Karan. They stumbled upon something dangerous, something that powerful people wanted to keep hidden. I don’t know all the details, but I do know they were getting close to exposing the truth.
"Karan’s resolve hardened. "I need to know everything you can tell me."
-------------------------------------------------------
Preeta and Savi arrived at the local archives and began their search.
Hours passed as they sifted through old newspapers and records, hoping to find a clue about the mysterious man.
"Look at this, Preeta,"
Savi said,
holding up an old newspaper article.
"This man is mentioned here. He was involved in a major financial scandal years ago."
Preeta read the article, her eyes widening.
"This is big, Savi. If he’s connected to the flowers and the secrets Karan hinted at, we might be on to something."
They copied the article and decided to visit the address mentioned in it, hoping to find more answers.
------------------------------------------------------
As Karan left Mr. Mehta’s house, he felt a mix of hope and fear.
He now had more pieces of the puzzle, but the picture was still incomplete.
He decided to call Preeta, feeling a strange urge to share his findings with her.
"Preeta, it’s Karan. I think I’ve found some information about my parents. Can we meet?"
he asked.
Preeta, surprised but intrigued, agreed.
"Sure, Karan. Where and when?"
"How about the café near your place? In an hour?"
Karan suggested.
"I’ll be there,"
Preeta replied, ending the call.
-------------------------------------------------------
At the café, Karan and Preeta sat at a corner table, discussing everything they had uncovered so far.
Preeta shared the newspaper article and her suspicions about the mysterious man.
"This is huge, Preeta. If we’re right, this man could be the key to understanding everything,"
Karan said,
his mind racing with possibilities.
Preeta nodded. "We need to find him and get some answers. But we have to be careful. If someone is watching you, they might be watching us too.
"Karan agreed.
"We’ll be careful. But we need to move fast. Time is running out.
-----------------------------------------------------
Meanwhile, Ishaan and Anjali continued their investigation, piecing together the clues from the past.
They discovered that the powerful group their parents were investigating was still active, and they were more dangerous than ever.
"We need to find concrete evidence to expose them,"
Ishaan said,
determination in his voice.
Anjali nodded.
"We will. But we need to be prepared for the risks. These people won’t hesitate to silence anyone who gets too close to the truth."
As the night grew darker, the web of secrets continued to unravel, drawing Karan, Preeta, Ishaan, and Savi deeper into a conspiracy that threatened to consume them all.
