Back at the villa, the tension from their mysterious follower lingered in the air.
Although they tried to shake it off, each person found themselves on edge, watching every shadow and listening closely to every sound.
Villa Living Room
That evening, as they gathered in the living room, Karan sat quietly, his brow furrowed in thought.
Preeta noticed his unease and sat down beside him.
“Karan,” she said softly, “you don’t have to go through this alone. We’re all here for you.”
Karan looked at her, a flicker of gratitude in his eyes. “It’s hard to let people in, Preeta. I’m used to handling everything on my own.”
Preeta smiled gently. “Well, you’ll have to get used to having us around. I’m not going anywhere.”
Meanwhile, Ishaan and Savi were in a playful argument on the other side of the room. Ishaan, always so serious, was beginning to open up, and Savi took every chance to tease him.
“I bet you’re the one scaring everyone with your grumpy face,” Savi teased, sticking her tongue out at him.
Ishaan crossed his arms, a rare smile playing at his lips. “Grumpy? Says the girl who nearly jumped on me when she saw a shadow in the forest.”
Savi rolled her eyes. “Oh, please, I wasn’t scared! I was just… practicing my ninja reflexes.”
They laughed, their playful bickering adding a lightness to the tense atmosphere.
Karan and Preeta exchanged a glance, each silently enjoying the budding closeness between their friends.

As the night wore on, the group finally decided to call it a day.
However, Preeta found herself unable to sleep, her thoughts drifting back to the locked room and Karan’s past.
Feeling an urge to understand him better, she quietly slipped out of her room, intending to visit the locked room once more.
As she walked down the dark hallway, she heard soft footsteps behind her.
Turning around, she saw Karan, his expression unreadable.
“Couldn’t sleep either?” he asked, his voice barely above a whisper.
Preeta nodded. “I keep thinking about that room, Karan. I feel like there’s so much of you locked inside, and I want to know it all.”
After a pause, Karan sighed, nodding towards the room. “Come on, then. I’ll show you something.”
He unlocked the door and led her inside.
Preeta noticed a small box on a table in the corner, covered with dust.
Karan picked it up, opening it to reveal a collection of letters.
“These letters,” he explained quietly, “were from my mother. She left them for me, filled with advice for different stages of my life. I read one each year, but there are still some left.”
Preeta’s eyes softened as she reached out, holding one of the letters gently. “She must have been an incredible woman.”
Karan nodded, his voice thick with emotion. “She was. I think… she would have liked you, Preeta.”
The intimacy of the moment hung between them, filling the room with a warmth that went beyond words.
Preeta leaned her head on his shoulder, feeling closer to Karan than ever before.

Meanwhile: Ishaan and Savi’s Room
Back in their room, Savi was looking out the window, lost in thought. Ishaan, noticing her silence, walked over.
“What’s on your mind?” he asked gently.
Savi turned to him, her expression serious. “I can’t shake the feeling that something bad is about to happen, Ishaan. It’s like we’re all tangled up in something bigger than we realize.”
Ishaan placed a reassuring hand on her shoulder. “No matter what happens, I’ll make sure you’re safe, Savi.”
A blush crept up Savi’s cheeks at his words, and she looked away, mumbling, “I didn’t think the grumpy professor could be so protective.”
Ishaan chuckled, his usually stern face softening. “I guess you bring out a different side of me.”
They shared a quiet moment, both feeling the weight of unspoken words and emotions between them.

The Next Morning: A Shocking Discovery
The next morning, as they gathered for breakfast, Karan received a message on his phone that made his expression darken.
“What is it?” Preeta asked, concern evident in her eyes.
Karan clenched his jaw, showing her the message: a photo of the group taken the previous day in the forest, sent from an unknown number.
“Someone’s been watching us,” Karan said, his tone filled with anger.
Ishaan took the phone, examining the photo closely. “Whoever it is, they want us to know they’re close.”
Savi shivered, instinctively moving closer to Ishaan. “This is getting creepy. Do you think it’s connected to the break-in?”
Karan nodded, his expression steely. “It’s too much of a coincidence. We need to be on guard.”
Preeta looked around the table, her voice steady despite the tension. “We’ll face this together. Whoever’s doing this won’t break us.”
The group nodded in agreement, determined to stay united.
But as they each exchanged a look, it was clear that a dangerous game was afoot—one that was only just beginning.
---
The mystery deepens, and the bonds between Karan, Preeta, Ishaan, and Savi grow stronger in the face of danger.
As they navigate the unknown, they’ll have to rely on each other more than ever.
