Kenan's pov
As we walked through the streets of Istanbul, Amelia's hand in mine, I couldn't help but feel a mix of emotions. On one hand, I was genuinely enjoying this time with her and her friends, exploring the city together. It was nice to see her in this environment, laughing and chatting with people she clearly cared about. But on the other hand, there was an undercurrent of jealousy that I couldn't shake.
Mike's protectiveness over Amelia was obvious, and it bothered me more than I wanted to admit. I knew he had feelings for her, even if he tried to hide them behind sarcastic comments or friendly concern. And Harry... Well, Harry was another story. Their bond was deep, almost like siblings, but there was a familiarity between them that sometimes made me feel like an outsider.
I tried to push those thoughts aside, focusing on the moment. Amelia was here with me, and that was what mattered. But every time I saw her smile at something Mike or Harry said, that little pang of jealousy would flare up again. I knew it was irrational—they were her friends, after all—but it didn't stop me from feeling it.
But,I can't lie,I really had fun with Amelia's friends.
As the afternoon wore on, I decided it was time to make my move. I wanted some time alone with Amelia, away from the group, away from the constant reminders that I wasn't the only man in her life who cared about her. The thought gnawed at me, making it hard to fully enjoy the day as much as I wanted to.
Turning to Amelia, I smiled, trying to keep my tone light. "How about we take a little detour, just the two of us?" I asked, brushing a stray strand of hair behind her ear.
She looked at me, a bit surprised, but then nodded with that warm smile that always melted my heart. "Sure, I'd love that," she replied, her eyes searching mine as if she sensed there was more behind my suggestion.
We told the group we'd meet up with them later knowing that probably not, and as we walked away, I felt a sense of relief wash over me. Finally, it was just the two of us. I led her to a quieter part of the city, where the bustling streets gave way to a more intimate, scenic view of the Bosphorus. The sun was beginning to set, casting a golden glow over the water. It was the perfect setting for what I had in mind.
I had been planning this for a while, ever since I realized just how much Amelia meant to me. I wanted to do something special, something that would show her just how serious I was about her. As we sat down at a small café with a view of the water, I pulled out a small, elegantly wrapped box from my jacket pocket.
"Amelia, I've been thinking about us a lot lately," I began, my voice low and sincere. "I know we haven't known each other for long, but... you've become incredibly important to me."
She looked at the box in my hand, her eyes widening slightly. "Kenan, you didn't have to—"
"I wanted to," I interrupted gently, placing the box in her hands. "Open it."
She hesitated for a moment, then carefully unwrapped the box. Inside was a delicate necklace, adorned with a small, shimmering pendant of star from Tiffany. It was elegant, something that I felt would suit her perfectly.
Her breath caught as she lifted the necklace out of the box, her fingers trembling slightly. "Kenan, this is... it's beautiful.Oh,it is a star here, just like you,I mean your surname,Yildiz, right?"
"I'm glad you like it," I said, feeling a wave of nervousness that I hadn't expected. "Yes,you are right,my surname translated in English like a star,I wanted you to have something that would remind you of me when we're apart. I know our time together here is limited, but... I don't want it to end."
She looked up at me, her eyes filled with emotion. "I don't want it to end either," she whispered.
In that moment, I felt a surge of love and possessiveness that I hadn't felt before. I leaned in, cupping her face in my hands, and kissed her deeply. The world around us seemed to disappear, leaving just the two of us in that perfect moment.
'You are my Yildiz, forever,no matter what'-she said that to me,and I literally lost my head after that.
'I am yours,only yours,love'
When we finally pulled apart, I rested my forehead against hers, savoring the closeness. "Let's make the most of the time we have, okay?"
She nodded, a soft smile playing on her lips. "Okay."
We spent the rest of the afternoon together, exploring the city, laughing, and just enjoying each other's company. It was exactly what I had needed—a reminder that no matter how much her friends cared for her, I was the one she had chosen to be with.
As the evening approached, we met up with her friends again, who had been waiting at a café. I couldn't help but feel a sense of satisfaction as I saw the looks on their faces when they noticed the necklace around Amelia's neck. She was mine, and I wasn't going to let anyone take her away from me.
But even as we rejoined the group, I knew the day wasn't over yet. I had more planned for Amelia, more ways to show her just how much she meant to me. Tonight, I was going to make sure she knew that no matter what, I was serious about us—about our future together. And I want to make her fully mine.
