Chapter 12

No. I do not except my fate.

I haven't kissed her yet. Didn't made love with her yet. Didn't carried her child yet. Didn't grew old with her in the same bedsheets yet. There's no way i want to die yet. I suddenly hate the fact about having soundproof walls right now. Not being able to hear anything from outside, let alone footsteps, is kicking me in the butt right now.

But will i get out of it alive?

I feel like throwing my arms around and scream like a mad man who is about to die cause of his shitty luck. At the same time, I just want to put my palm up and say the most cliche'kind of line, 'This is not what it looks like!'

But my lips seems to be glued together. In the corner of my eyes I can see Rie's solitude rushing and stumbling to put on the clothes I laid out for her.

I return my eyes in front of my death again. If looks could kill! I swallow a lump in my throat.

I've never been this terrified.

Her storm raging eyes turns to Rie, again. Since the last few minutes she barged in, she had been giving both of us death glares one from another for long enough to make our body shiver in fear. But this time, she steps up while keeping her eyes on Rie while Rie frozes on spot from being utterly terrified.

Leona's pace fastens dangerously and that snaps me to my senses. I jump in between them just in time as leona's first comes in contact with my cheek instead of Rie's jaw.

Both of them gasps as i stumbled back from the impact. Rie's arms wraps around me firmly to make sure I don't fall. Leona's eyes narrows down and turns darker as her eyes keeps glaring at Rie's arms that's touching me. Her jaw clenches tightly as she growls lowly.

Rie by instinct feeling the threat growled back and held me tighter. Leona's eyes flashes dangerously at that. Her hands shaking hard.

I quickly turn my head back over my shoulder to look at Rie's face. She almost seemed unrecognizable. Her pretty innocent features have darkened up. Her eyes flashing anger and her body posed as if She's ready to fight if it needs to, to protect me at any cost.

I put my hand on her cheek softly to get her attention which i immediately get as her eyes snaps to me in a instant. I can feel leona's glare on the side of my face. I know She's hurting, misunderstanding this situation. I need to do something.

"Rie," I whisper. "That's her. My mate. Leave using the window quickly. Stay close."

Rie's eyes widens almost comically. Nevertheless she soon nods her head and briefly nuzzles her nose in my hair as a good luck before leaving the room just how I instructed.

I look back at leona and by her expression, it seems that she caught Rie's last action on me and didn't take it well, at all.

I step closer to her and speak as softly as i can while looking directly in her pained eyes, a painful squeeze goes over my chest. "What you are thinking, that's not true."

Her hands seems to be trembling harder now as she starts taking deep breathes. "What was it, then?" even her voice is trembling, half in anger, half in pain.

More painful squeezes goes over my chest at the knowledge that I caused her that. Keeping my voice steady, I slowly walk behind her to close the door while speaking. "She's someone close to me. Like a family. We were just fooling around."

After closing the door I turn around only to be slammed back on the door with leona's hand clasping my throat, hard enough just to hurt a little but not to kill. "Oh?" Her voice so low as her face hovers over mine, looking furious. "So you fool around with your like-a-family while they are naked?"
