Chapter 19

It was a dark corner under the shadows from some two-story houses- or buildings to be exact.

I put my right paw over leona's arm while I keep the other tucked under leona's cuddling hold. I angle my free paw in a way to direct her. She nods her head briefly and starts walking to the direction my paw was pointing.

We keep moving forward as we get surrounded by excited crowds as soon as we left the dark corner.

The wind smelled like festival, foods and werewolves.

Oh! I cam smell some humans too. Must be some of those who knows about us. Not to mention they could be mates too. I do smell marks on some of those somes.

I snap my head towards the sweet smell of freshly made cotton candy.

I smack my paw repeatedly as I meow towards the stall.

“What? What is it?" Leona says while panicking as her steps halts because of my sudden change of behaviour.

I take a deep breathe and release it before looking at her calmly. It took her a few seconds to process my calm expression as she lets out a breath of relief.

“What is it, kitten?" She asks slowly while keeping her voice hushed.

I let out a small meow and direct my paw and stare at the croweded store of cloudy sweetness.

“Ah." She breathes out softly and I feel a pair of soft lips pressing over my head making me look up. “Of course you’d like a festival to feel like a festival." She says in a adoring voice making me feel hysteric inside. My ears tucks down as I let out a growlish meow. Just go.

Good thing animals don't blush.

A chuckle vibrates through her chest as her body moves forward. After she reaches the end of the line she stops to wait for the others to get their orders first.

I meow lowly but continuously while wiggling in her arms as she just looks at my impatient behaviour amusedly.

As we got closer and closer to our turn, my body and voice vibrated more and more with excitement.

I almost jump out of her arms when we finally got our turn. The guy who's making a piece of heaven looked at me amusedly before looking at leona. “What colour would you like, miss?

Leona looks down at me before whispering in a cute voice. “What would you like, kitten?"

I let out a long meow of shyness before looking at the list of colour options in front of me. Gosh you!

I purr as a small chuckle comes from right above my head. I reach my paw forward and press it against the ‘pink' option.

“Her wish." She nods towards my choice which makes the guy laugh.

“Gotta love cats for that- even when you're a wolf." He grumbles while making a part of the dawn sky.

I stare as he uses his both arms to make it. As it slowly starts growing, It's then that I notice that he's giving it a shape.

My mouth falls open with a awed meow as it takes the shape of a moonflower.

It Isn't a exact replica but its close enough to be recognised.

“A flower?" Leona asks with a raised eyebrow.

“Not surprised that you don’t know what it is. But then again, I still can’t make it look like the original one." The guy smiles. “It's a moonflower. I practiced this design especially for today. I haven’t fully succeeded but I'm proud of the progress I made- for a cotton candy maker." He puffs his chest out making me meow a laugh out.

He grins at me before handing over the reason of the waterfall in my mouth to leona who was eyeing it with an impressed look.

“So this is what an ‘almost' Moonflower looks like." Leona murmurs before handing him his payment. “Keep the tip." She adds quickly.

The guy grins and thanks her and soon we were walking around to look for a spot to sit.

“Meow- Meow meow!" Sweetness- there there!

Leona follows my line of vision and grins at me before walking over a small bench under a tree.

As she settles down I wiggle and bring my mouth close to the soft sweet and bite down with a chomp of my fangs.

A meow of delight leaves my mouth as soon as a burst of heaven goes through my tastebuds.

I dig in again- in need of this so much more that I didn’t even looked at my laughing mate.

“Hey, slow down now, kitten. It's not going anywhere." She says softly and I didn't have to look up to know that she's smiling.

I lick around my mouth after almost half of it was devoured and look up at Leona's affectionate stare. I purr loudly and push the stick at Leona's hand towards her.

Leona raises her eyebrow but nods her head with a small smile before bringing the pink cloud close enough to bite.

A hum leaves her throat as she licks her lips. “My favourite kind of strawberry." She says while keeping her eyes on me.

My ears perks up before I quickly look away from her, pretending that it didn't effected me.

That's a total lie though.

Shut up, me!

I keep on ignoring leona's light chuckles and the heat around my cheeks.

A scent hits my nose making my ears perk up in alert as I scan the crowed.

My eyes halts in front of two Werecats who were conversing with a Werewolf in a friendly manner- or rather in a buddy manner.

Of course Werecats are here. They must be friends with that Werewolf.

“What are you looking at, kitten?" Leona whispers right above my ear. Her hot breathe sends a shiver down my spine.

I point my paw towards the Werecats who were standing alone- most likely waiting for their werewolf friend to come back from wherever he went.

Leona looks at them confusedly and then back at me. I then point my paw at myself before pointing at them again.

After a few seconds, realization hits her. “Werecats?" She whispers and I nod with a meow.

She frowns looking concerned. “There will be no problem, right?"

I nods again with a meow making her sigh in relief. She smiles at me before speaking. “Let's finish the candy quickly, yeah?"

I meow again before taking another bite along with Leona.

***A/N : First of all, I know that you guys are wondering why the chap is so small.

Wattpad deleted the draft i wrote and I had to write this much all over again. I don't have enough time to write another whole chapter so that's why I updated this much.

Lastly, maybe you guys have already noticed- I'm a College student. Freshman, actually.

I started this book over a year ago but couldn't continue writing due to the pressure of senior year.

The thing about College is that- the whole life of it is busy. I'm really struggling with everything- studies, extra-curricular activities and all.

Updating everyweek is pressuring me too. It's discouraging.

So I'm going back to the ‘I'll update when I can' phase.
