NO ONE'S POV
Mikha woke up groggily from her deep sleep.
Pupungay pa ang mata niyang kinuha ang cellphone niya sa side table and checked what time it was.
It was already 8:30 am, and she was late for her morning class. But instead of hurrying her ass up, she decided to go back to sleep.
Mabigat ang pakiramdam niya, and she wasn't planning to attend school today.
Mikha was the type of person who, if she wasn't reading or doing any of her stuff, would just sleep but the recent events were stressing her out kaya puyat na naman s'ya.
She had stayed up all night after her conversation with Jhoanna because she snuck out of the house again.
Just as she told Jhoanna, she planned to move secretly until she had a clear idea of who their enemies were.
She had gone to her grandparents' mansion-her mother's side, who were staying in the Philippines-and asked them about a certain matter.
She didn't bring her car. Instead, she called two of her father's men she trusted.
She didn't go back to their house but instead went straight to her condominium.
May kaniya kaniya silang condominiums and Mikha even got her own penthouse pero they decided na isang bahay na lang tumira at sa kagustuhan din ng parents nila.
When she got out of the car in front of the building, the rain was pouring, and she got caught in it.
Since Colet and the others had also hurried out that morning, they didn't notice that Mikha wasn't at home.
Around 11 am, Mikha's phone rang, interrupting her sleep.
She answered it without checking the caller's ID.
"Hello?" Mikha said groggily.
"Hello? saan ka? hindi kita nakita ngayon sa school? Bakit ganiyan boses mo? piskit, kakagising mo lang ba?" Colet's concerned voice echoed through the phone.
Mikha rubbed her eyes, trying to shake off the drowsiness.
"Yeah... kakagising ko lang. I'm at my condo, Ate Colet." Mikha's voice was weaker than usual kaya nag taka si Colet.
"Anong ginagawa mo r'yan? bakit ganiyan boses-piskit ka, Mikha Lim! may lagnat ka ba?!" sigaw ni Colet.
Napatingin naman sa kaniya ang mga kasama.
She was with Gwen, Sheena, and Maloi, waiting for Aiah to arrive.
They couldn't find Jhoanna and Stacey anywhere.
Mikha distanced the phone from her ear dahil sa sigaw ni Colet.
"Fuck." Mikha cursed, pero hindi nakaligtas sa pandinig ni Colet.
"Huwag mo'ko murahin, babardahin talaga kitang piskit ka!" sermon ni Colet.
"Your voice is making my head hurt even more, Ate Col." Mikha groggily replied habang hinihilot ang sintido.
"Uminom ka na ba ng gamot?" Colet asked again.
Napailing na lang si Gwen bago mag salita.
"Asa ka pang iinom 'yan, alam mong sapilitan 'yan bago uminom." She stated.
"Pupunta ako r'yan after ng exam ko, sinasabi ko sa'yo, Mikha Lim." Colet warned.
Mikha just sighed and ended the call.
