Two days had passed since Elena had given birth, and the hospital room was filled with a peaceful warmth. The baby, healthy and content, had brought a sense of joy and relief to everyone. Elena sat in her hospital bed, cradling her newborn, while Janus stood nearby, offering quiet reassurance.

Damon had been busy making arrangements for their return home. When he walked into the room, holding a bouquet of flowers and a broad smile, his eyes lit up at the sight of Elena and the baby. "How are my girls doing?" he asked, his voice warm with affection.

Elena looked up, her face brightening. "We're doing great," she replied. "Lily's healthy, and we're ready to go home."

Damon's expression softened as he approached her. "That's amazing. I've been making sure everything's ready at the school. We want you and Lily to be as comfortable as possible."

Just then, a nurse entered the room with a clipboard and a friendly smile. "Good morning, Elena," she said. "I'm here to go over your discharge instructions and make sure you're all set to head home."

Janus glanced at Elena, noticing both her exhaustion and her eagerness to return to the Salvatore Boarding School. Offering her a comforting nod, he gently rested his hand on her shoulder.

The nurse went over the discharge details with Elena, explaining feeding schedules, baby care, and upcoming appointments. Elena listened closely, nodding in understanding. "Thank you," she said softly, her voice full of gratitude.

As the nurse finished, she turned to Janus with a curious smile. "You've been such a great support, Stefan. It's clear how much you care."

Janus returned the smile warmly. "Thank you. Elena's been amazing through it all. I'm just glad to be by her side."

Damon, standing nearby, looked between Elena and Janus, a mix of genuine relief and affection in his eyes. "Alright, let's get you and Lily home."

Elena smiled, weary but sincere. "Thank you, Damon. It means everything to have you both here with me."

Janus helped gather Elena's belongings, ensuring everything was ready. He glanced at the baby, feeling a deep sense of warmth. "Let's get you both settled in. Starting this new chapter will feel good once you're home and comfortable."

As they prepared to leave, Damon carefully secured the baby's carrier in the backseat while Janus assisted Elena into the wheelchair, guiding her to the car before helping her inside.

With everything packed, the three of them, along with baby Lily, set off for the Salvatore Boarding School, eager to embrace the new beginnings ahead.

The Salvatore Boarding School was buzzing with activity as students and staff went about their day. When Elena, Damon, and their newborn arrived, they were greeted with warm enthusiasm by Elena's best friends, Caroline and Bonnie. Though both had already met Lily during their hospital visit, the joy of seeing their friend home with her daughter brought fresh excitement.

Caroline's face lit up with happiness as she took Lily into her arms, beaming, "Hello again, little one!"
