my alarm rings awaking me from my sleep, i look at my phone next to me seeing cari lay on facetime doing something on her phone. we fell asleep last night on the call after her show. "good morning" she says to me with a smile on her face.
"morning" I say, hiding my face in my pillow. she giggles at me. "you need to get out of bed and get ready for work" she tells me.
"I will" I tell her, sitting myself up and looking around my room. "Is meg still going with you" she asks and i nod.
we decided last night that she would spend the day with me at work and then after it we will meet everyone for dinner in times square. I've not really been anywhere or looked around much since I moved here, so it will be good to get out of the apartment for a little bit.
"where are you today?" I ask cari as I get out of bed and go into the bathroom, resting my phone on the sink as I brush my teeth.
"I'm in phoenix arizona and then im in salt lake tomorrow" she tells me, running her hand through her hair.
I nod as I finish brushing my teeth.
"I can't wait for you to come to new jersey, I've booked all your flights and stuff now. my parents are excited they said they've missed alex" she says to me laughing.
"I get nervous with stuff like that" i admit to her and she smiles. "you don't need to be nervous, I'll be there and they will love you" she tells me and I nod.
I pick some leggings and a hoodie out of my closet to wear for today as it's a bit chilly here right now. the only thing I love about going to work is that I don't have to do my makeup because they will do it for me.
I get changed and head into the living room.
"morning, is that cari on the phone?" alex asks and I nod, handing it to her so they can talk.
"meg I recommend bringing snacks with you I don't know how long this shoot is going to be" i tell the brunette girl who is stood by the kitchen counter with lucy.
"remember that shoot I came too with you and we were there for like 13 hours, i fell asleep" lucy says getting involved in the conversation. stood in her grey sweatpants and tshirt which im sure used to be one of mine.
"yeah i remember that, it was horrible i was so tired" I add, with a small smile on my face.
meg runs up behind me and jumps onto my back, squeezing me tightly. "thanks for letting me come with you bestie" she says.
meg and I have really bonded recently, I'm loving how close we have come.
"nothing is happening cari they were just talking" I hear alex whisper into my phone. i walk over and sit next to her, showing my face on the camera. cari looks at me and sighs.
"it's time to leave now I think so we don't get stuck in traffic" meg tells me. i look at the time on my phone which alex hands back to me and nod. I get up off the sofa and say bye to everyone before leaving the apartment.
"i gotta go to work now" i tell cari.
she nods. "okay".
"call me later yeah?" I say to her.
"I will, bye bye" she says and the call ends.
meg and I get into the car, she decided that she wants to drive us there. I type the location into the maps and she begins following the directions.
