•*+,+*•My alarm goes off at 7:30am on Sunday morning. Groggily, I open my eyes to shut the incessant ringing off, already hearing shuffling from next door as Toru gets ready. I fumble over my cluttered bedside table until my clumsy fingers meet the frame of my glasses, and I shove them on my nose.
I roll out of bed, my hair frizzy from sleep. Yawning, I crack my neck, the satisfying pop loosening my joints. My thoughts are still hazy, but at least my muscles feel a little less sore than they did yesterday.
I pull back my heavy velvet curtains - one of my favorite parts of my room - as I listen to music, catchy pop tunes filling my still room. I'm careful not to blast it though, not wanting to wake up my dad or brother.
As sunlight pools onto my floor, the floating dust mites are illuminated like tiny specks of fire. I stare at them a moment, relishing the sight of something so small able to be so beautiful when seen at the right time.
The song changes and I trudge into the bathroom, not showering since I did yesterday evening, and I'm sure I will again after training. I brush my teeth, fix the mess of locks on my head into a tight high pony, and put in contacts.
I then take a moment to look at myself in the mirror. My gaze flicks over my features, my long lashes which were a mutation to help with shielding my eyes from the intensity of my quirk, my thin brows which I get Toru to do for me, and the smudges of purple under my eyes.
I stare at the shape and tiredness of my eyes and see my father looking back at me. My single iris turns a dizzying shade of neon yellow.
My nose scrunches in disgust at the color change as I will it to change to a nicer shade, but to no avail. Kissing my teeth in annoyance, I apply some concealer to soften the bags under my eyes.

Akio drives me and Toru there in his silver car. I'm quiet the whole way there, mind brimming with excitement to see the friendly girls again. I mentally go over things to talk about with them, ways I could be training, how to not get on their nerves.
"Okay rats we're here."
Toru squeals excitedly, and we both get out of the car. Grinning at our brother, we both crawl over the bonnet to get to the other side of the vehicle. I'm about to slide off when he flips us both off and jerks the car forward, causing a yelp to fall from my lips as I tumble onto the ground, scraping my palms.
He accelerates off, leaning out the window to blow a sarcastic kiss to both of us before he goes out of sight.
"What a dick." Toru says as I stand, brushing my hands on my joggers.
"We'll get him back later." I nod, looking around UA's empty car park, "dude do you remember the way?"
"To Gamma? Yeah, cmon!"
I follow my sister, eventually arriving at the massive building. Because apparently everything in this school has to be monster-sized. Not that I'm complaining though - we've never had access to these kind of facilities before and the space to use our quirks is liberating.
I check my phone as Toru links arms with me to walk in, the familiar proximity washing over me like a comforter.
The huge inside space feels like some kind of apocalyptic warehouse, the air surprisingly cool and refreshing. We dump our bags by the door, then head over to Ashido, Yayorozu and Uraraka.
They welcome us over, Yayorozu musing over why Jirou's late and Uraraka chatting about a new cafe she wants to take us to.
"Cementos?" I say in a questioning tone, seeing the blocky hero come in through the doors with Jirou.
