After an exhausting morning of theory and other boring crap, I trudge next to my lively pink friend as she talks at me. I'm zoned out, already feeling drained today, despite barely having spoken to anyone. I hate Mondays.

The cafeteria is filled with content chatter, and I let the inaudible snippets of conversation wash over my ears comfortingly. Mina leads me to the queue, which thankfully isn't long as we're pretty late.

I order a dish of vegetarian gyoza, my comfort food. The warm, mouth-watering smell reaches me as Lunch Rush hands over my plate. I smile gratefully, my mood immediately lightening up as I mutter a forcefully enthusiastic thanks, receiving a thumbs up from the pro hero.

Mina and I pick up our trays, scanning the huge, bustling cafeteria. Only a few tables are left, and sitting next to some random third years seems too daunting a stunt to pull on our second week, so we go for the table with Kirishima and Kaminari already sat at.

They smile, Kaminari involuntarily flashing us a mouthful of noodles as we sit down, and I groan at the sight. Kirishima reprimands his friends ill-manners, and Mina and I cheekily grin at the bored look on Kaminari's face as we sit opposite the two boys.

For the past week, I'd become closer with the 1A girls, but the only guys I'd really befriended were Kirshima, Kaminari and Ojiro, the latter of whom is my sisters best friend. The rest I get along with amicably, especially the chatty Midoriya, who reminds me a bit of a toned-down Mina.

"Hey guys." Mina says, and I notice how her eyes linger a little too long on the redheads face before she breaks apart her chopsticks.

"What's up Ashido, Sayuri."

"Fuck Mondays!" I huff, tipping soy sauce over my steaming gyozas in copious amounts, waterboarding the unassuming parcels in sauce. Sauceboarding..?

"If Present Mic yells one more time during English, I might snap." Kirishima agrees as we all tuck in to our respective meals.

I let out a happy sigh as the hot dumpling breaks apart in my mouth, cool sticks of salty veg bursting onto my tongue.

"Jesus Christ I'll never get over how amazing Lunch Rushs' cooking is." Mina moans with a mouthful of salmon nigiri. I nod vigorously in agreement.

"that's blasphemy." Kirishima says nonchalantly, and I hold back a scoff, not wanting to sound mean.

"Sorry little Christian boy, did I offend you?" Mina raises an eyebrow.

"I'm not even Christian, you know this."

"What, did you guys know each other before UA?" I ask.

"It doesn't matter anyways, I'm an atheist." Mina says, maintaining eye contact with Kirishima.

"Damn bro you just got aired." Kaminari says to me.

"Yeah, don't rub it in." I look down theatrically.

"Nah, I mean, that must be really rough little bro."

"Right. Eeeenough."

"You gonna go beast mode?"

Meanwhile, Kirishima and Mina had somehow got onto the topic of Lady Gaga's music, and how both listen to her. I shoot Kaminari a playful glare, scoop up another mouthful of my food, then listen attentively to Mina's animated speech about how Dance pop and disco music should be more widespread as it generally spreads good vibes while not promoting too many bad habits or sad feelings.
