Charles was packing again for the next race, it being Baku. He suddenly remembered some moments he had there like the infamous "I am stupid. I am stupid." that became a meme. But he also had the memory of his first win at this track, before formula one. He remembered how he felt that day climbing into the car way back in 2017 and how he fell to last place. He remembered how slowly but surely he came back to the top step of the podium. How he looked at the sky while raising his trophy in the honour of his father. He had died 48 hours before and was beautifully honoured that day. Hervé who had raised him to be the man and the driver he was today. How he raised his sons to be great people, to be kind, generous and to help others, to always fight and never give up in a race and in life in general. Charles proved his parents wonderful education early on. As young as 6 or 7 years old, all he wanted to be was kind. "Qu'est-ce que tu veux faire plus tard, Charles?" What do you wanna do later Charles The journalist had asked a young Charles. "Je veux être gentil." I wanna be kind Was what he said all he wanted to do in this word was good. And he did.
