VEERA'S POV

"Shub yaar uth jaa!! Kyu itna gussa dila raha hai subha subha?" I shout at the figure sleeping beside me. His leg on my stomach, his mouth open while he's on his stomach.

I had come to Shubman's room to wake him up for our flight back home. But him being him, pulled me in bed and shut me up so that his sleep won't get disturbed.

"GET OFF ME! GOSH YOURE SO ANNOYING." I cry, trying to push his heavy leg off me.

"Can you let me live peacefully for once? Meri zindagi me aadhe dukhon ka kaaran to tu hai." Shubman said in a groggy tone, twisting and turning before he finally got up.

"Uncle we need to leave for the airport in an hour. Hamare baap ka nahi hai plane." I say sardonically, while throwing a towel on his face and leaving his room.

Muttering a random song, I enter the kitchen, noticing Neeta aunty, our cook preparing bread omelette for breakfast. Holding my shoes, I get on the counter, starting to wear them.

"Oh aunty, I'll miss your food so much yaar, especially the ghewar." I say, smelling the dish she had just kept beside me.

"Koi baat nahi Veera, you'll be back in no time, well that's what I'm hoping for." She replied passing me an affectionate smile.

"Good morning Veera." I hear a deep voice, snapping me out of it. Looking at where the voice came from, I spot Hardik, all dressed up in a beige button down and sweatpants.

For some reason, I never felt the need of calling him bhaiya, just like I call every single of my brother's teammates. There's always a different kind of feeling when I'm with him, something that have no words for.

"He's cool." My subconscious mind says, and I shrug those stupid thoughts.

"Good morning Hardik, hope you slept well." I greeted him while attempting to tie my shoelaces.

"Slept like a baby. You tell me, ready to go back to India?" He questions, sitting on a chair near the breakfast counter where I was currently sitting.

"I don't know. I've missed everyone a lot, but it's been 4 years since I visited India. I wonder if the people I'm waiting to see even remember me." I reply.

"You're not something which can be forgotten. Item hai tu." Virat bhaiya said, walking towards the kitchen, dragging his suitcase along with him.

"Behen bhi to teri hai na Virat." Hardik said as he and Neeta aunty laughed it off.

"Haww subha subha Kohli slander shuru. Ruko zara, pohonchne do Mumbai. I'll tell Ro bhai." I cry.

"Good morning soldiers." Shubman says as he walks out of him room.

"Badi jaldi aa gaya tu." I pass him a sarcastic smile.

"Aaj shampoo nahi kiya na, isiliye time kam laga." Shubman replied shoving a piece of toast in his mouth, as Hardik smacked his head.
