"you just stupefied me??" shouted regulus clearly confused staring so hard it seemed he was staring right into sirius soul
"you don't have any friends!" shouted sirius back, angry at something, resulting in petty comments
regulus could do petty, and he did it pretty damn well
"yeah that's why i fuck yours!" regulus screamed back hand thrown up in the air before his hand came down to rub the area on his nose between his eyes
and suddenly the moment no one knew was possible, sirius finally shut his big mouth up.
not for long though
approximately 15 seconds.
regulus counted, it was a glorious fifteen seconds.
the the hexes started rolling in, regulus got hit by a few before he managed to grab his wand and started deflecting them
"stop. hexing. me." gritted out regulus, his breath falling short the more hexes came to him.
the brothers were still fighting five minutes later before james came to find them
"what is going on?!?" james sounded shocked, his best friend and boyfriend fighting when he fought they finally started getting along
"SIRIUS BLACK" screamed remus from somewhere in the backround. that got sirius to stop throwing hexes, which quite amused regulus, seeing his rebellious brother be merely tamed by the yell of his name by his boyfriend.
"hi moony" sirius tried, his voiced laced with honey.
"absolutely the fuck not" remus responded causing sirius to pout.
"what the bloody hell is going on" interrupted james. this made a small smirk grow on regulus's face. the face james had studied and grown to memorize, so he'd be damned if he said he didn't know that smirk.
"oh. you told him didnt you.." james said kissing his teeth. this only made the smirk grow bigger on regulus
"so you werent lying" replied sirius clearly shocked. regulus rolled his eyes before grabbing james face and placing a tender kiss on his lips before turning back and flipping sirius off.
"ok you two, clearly we know what caused the hexing between you two, but how exactly did you say it for sirius to go that.. extreme" remus questioned, taking his time before choosing an adjective to describe the nature of the fight.
"sirius got mad at me for something stupified me, then said i didn't have any friends, so i told him thats why i fuck his" regulus said casually like it was something that happened everyday
james couldn't help but fall into a pit of laughter
"it's not funny james" sirius pouted looking at remus for support
"sorry pads it's a little bit funny" muttered remus through his laughter causing sirius to pout even harder, making regulus smirk
"i fucking hate you reg" sirius stated
"love you too arsehole" reg replied rolling his eyes
it was evident to anyone who knew the elder black that while he was coming to accept the situation of his brother and best friend something seemed off. he seemed off, remus watched his boyfriend closely, he didn't know if it was because of the two dating or something deep down that made sirius hesitant before speaking again. his lower lip trembled, the way it does when his thoughts overwhelmed him, his eyes blinking slowly.
after glancing over to remus and seeing the worried look, james followed his eyes and saw them land on the one and only sirius black, "pads?" he questioned.
the concern in james voice made regulus's smirk drop as he looked a little closer at his brother. surely he wasn't this upset over them.. right?
Sirius looked up his lip still trembling, his breaths getting more inconsistent.
"sirius, love, what's wrong?" asked remus, remus talking is finally what allowed sirius to break and too, start talking
"I- i don't want you guys to forget me.."
"what?" regulus spoke for the first time since the silence started
"with you and james being together.. I don't want james to forget me.. or you to forget me because you'll have eachother."
"sirius, you've been my best mate since i was 11, me dating regulus will never change that." james said, voice soft like sirius could break
" yeah sirius, I didn't date james just to take him away from you" regulus said obviously confused and maybe annoyed. sirius picked up on the annoyed " i'm sorry." he whispered, eyes fixed on his hands.
regulus realizing his mistake spoke up again, "no i'm sorry, i, shit i'm bad at this" that caused sirius to let out a little laugh before regulus continued "I dated james because It's who I love, it just happened that it was your best mate. I didn't do it as some kind of sick joke, i did it because i love him."
"aww you love me"
"shut up james" both regulus and remus said at the same time, making james pout and sirius smile
"ok.." sirius said, clearly unsure on how to answer regulus. regulus knowing this smiled at sirius, a real smile, not the slytherin smirk he was so well known for, and that made it clear to sirius what his intentions were, making sirius feel a bit better.
"come on let's go to the dorm, play some games and eat our feelings if we must. regulus feel free to join us if you'd like, stay the night even" said remus with a smile. regulus nodded before going to james side, allowing for james to wrap his arm around his waist, pull him in for a little kiss, then the four of them started walking up to the dorm, finding peter on the floor doing homework.
"where the hell were you, why is sirius look like he was crying, why does james have his arm around regulus without getting killed, why is regulus here for that matter, and remus.. actually never mind you look normal"
the group laughed before settling down on the floor with some games and telling the story back to peter, who rolled his eyes and banded 10 galleons to remus. "arsehole" whispered peter
"who the hell did you two bet on??"
"I bet that james and regulus's relationship would be a sit down and talk with Sirius and remus bet that it would accidentally be exposed either as a joke or a petty response" answered peter casually before putting a card down, "uno and pick two asshole" he said glaring at remus.
