━━━━━
The summer sun streamed through the kitchen window, casting a warm glow over the room. Stella sat at the kitchen table, her fingers deftly working to braid her long hair. The strands of red hair slipped through her fingers, weaving into a neat plait.
Atlas, sprawled across the table, had his legs stretched out and his head propped up on one elbow. His grin was barely contained as he watched Stella struggle with her braid. Jenna moved about the kitchen, preparing lunch with practiced ease, her movements rhythmic and calming.
"Mom, can you help me?" Stella called out, holding up a hair tie with a hopeful look.
Jenna turned from the stove, a soft smile on her lips. She crossed the kitchen and leaned down to plant a gentle kiss on Stella's forehead. "You look beautiful, sweetheart" she said, her eyes crinkling with warmth. "And that sundress is lovely... wait a minute"
Stella cheeks tinged with a rosy hue. "Hey, hey, you said I could have it when Aunt Lily brought over that box of clothes. No take backs."
Atlas chimed in with a smirk. "Mom also said if she catches you wearing Aunt Lily's clothes, she's going to lock you in your room for the rest of your life."
Stella rolled her eyes, exasperated. "You're not helping, AJ."
Atlas mimicked her dramatic tone, "You're not helping Aj" his grin widening.
Jenna glanced at the two siblings, "Alright, enough. Atlas, Aren't you supposed to be getting ready? Are you not going out with your sister and your mother?"
Atlas lifted his head, his smirk turning into a full-blown grin. "Nope, you said we could make brownies together."
Jenna raised an eyebrow. "I said after dinner"
Atlas's smirk deepened. "Or right now" he said.
Jenna rolled her eyes, recognizing the exact copy of Natasha's smirk on her son's face. "Fine, but don't tell your mother."
Just then Natasha walked in, her eyes narrowing in curiosity. "Don't tell me what?"
Natasha walked over to Jenna and kissed her on the cheek, "Hey, beautiful."
Jenna smiled, "That our kids don't call me 'Mommy' anymore."
Atlas lifted his head from the table, shrugging nonchalantly. "We're basically adults now." he said, his voice matter-of-fact.
Natasha raised an eyebrow, playfully skeptical. "Oh really? And what about yesterday when I saw you sneaking some of Liho's food." (Liho is immortal because i said so)
Atlas's grin faltered slightly. "Uncle Pietro dared me to."
Jenna shot Atlas a knowing look. "And how much did he pay you?"
Atlas shifted, looking guilty. "Twenty bucks."
Jenna shook her head, chuckling. "So that's why you brushed your teeth for an hour yesterday."
Atlas put his head down, mumbling. "Yeah, I didn't want anyone to know."
Jenna walked over to Natasha and whispered with a sly smile, "That's your kid, by the way."
Natasha smirked and whispered back, "Yours too."
Jenna shook her head, glancing at Stella, who was sitting in a corner, absorbed in a book. "Mine's right there" she said, pointing. Stella looked up at her moms, gave a small wave, and then returned to her reading.
