"Jenna watched the two kids staring at Natasha with bright, shiny eyes, admiring their mother. She just smiled.

Their kids admired Natasha so much, and it was one of the most beautiful things in the world. They loved Natasha unconditionally, and it was everything Jenna had hoped Natasha would be able to find in her life.

But Natasha kept glancing over at Jenna, who was watching them with a soft smile. Natasha knew her wife was letting her have a moments with the kids because, in every story, every adventure, and every lifetime, Jenna was always there next to her.Her wife was the coolest person, but Nat would never admit that to her."

Stella and Atlas were rummaging through Jenna's office, searching for something fun to pass the time. Atlas opened an old drawer and gasped.

"Stel, look at this" he whispered, pulling out an old, yellowing newspaper.

Stella wandered over, and her eyes widened when she saw the front page. It was a photograph of the Avengers standing in a circle after the attack on New York. Right in the middle was a familiar face—Natasha, their mom.

"No way" Stella muttered in disbelief.

"Whoa" Atlas breathed, holding the paper like it was some kind of treasure.

Without another word, they both bolted out of the office, the newspaper in Atlas's hands as they leaped onto the couch where Natasha was sitting, casually reading a book.

"Mother" Atlas exclaimed, dropping the newspaper on the coffee table in front of her. "When were you gonna tell us about this?" His tone was half accusatory.

Natasha blinked in confusion and set her book aside. "What?" she asked, looking down at the paper. The moment her eyes landed on the old photo, she let out a soft laugh.

At that moment, Jenna walked in from the kitchen, holding a bowl of blueberries. "Tell you about what?" she asked, popping a blueberry into her mouth.

Stella pointed at the newspaper. "This" she said, as if she'd just uncovered the biggest secret in the world.

Jenna rolled her eyes, setting the bowl of blueberries on the table next to the paper. "Oh, that." (She wasn't bitter. She still was.)

Natasha's grin widened as she looked at the photo again. "I can't believe you're still mad about not being in the photo."

Atlas's eyes went wide. "Wait, Mom was there too?"

Jenna shook her head, chuckling. "Nope. I don't believe in violence, sorry. I was happily not involved." she lied.

The kids, however, were fixated on Natasha. Stella plopped down on the floor beside the couch, and Atlas quickly followed, their eyes bright with curiosity. "So... what happened?" Stella asked eagerly.

Natasha leaned back, drawing out the moment with a smirk. "Well..." Natasha began recounting the events of that day, the kids hung onto every word, eyes wide with admiration.

Jenna watched from the other couch, smiling to herself. Seeing her wife and their kids like this filled her with a quiet contentment. Natasha was their hero in more ways than one, and the kids adored her for it.

While she was telling the story, Natasha kept reaching for blueberries, pretending to eat them but really just using the moments to steal glances at Jenna.

As Natasha began telling the story, the kids fired off questions, one after the other.

"Did you fight the aliens? Were you scared? How many bad guys did you take down?" Atlas asked.

"What was Uncle Tony like? Did you really shoot those giant flying things?" Stella chimed in, her eyes practically glowing.

Natasha just smiled as she recalled the chaos of that day. It had all been a blur. But the thing she remembered most wasn't the battle itself. It was Jenna. Or Inferno.

In that moment, Natasha realized something. The kids might think she was the coolest person in the world, but they didn't know the half of it. Because, in Natasha's eyes, Jenna was the coolest person in every room she walked into.

But of course, she'd never say that out loud.
