Rosalin's Point of View

Seid wants a hero, and he wants me to be that...

Still, it's not as if he just abandoned Mia with nothing. He told her exactly what she is doing wrong, and at least gave her some hints on which direction to take. Just because Seid has placed his hopes in me, that doesn't mean that Mia is hopeless. She has the blessing of the goddess of life, so if she wants she can make a difference in this world in more ways than just being a resource buff..

But that starts with changing the way she acts with the army.

One of Claudius' knights stands in front of Mia's door, guarding it. She looks at me quietly, and then promptly ignores me. It isn't a knight I've seen before, so she clearly wasn't on the journey with us...

"Stay," I say softly to Theodore, who doesn't react, but doesn't follow me as I approach the knight.

"I would like to talk with Lady Mia..."

The knight looks at me irritatedly, and I get the vague feeling that this knight is probably 'Claudius''. A knight that's actually loyal to Mia, but just wearing Claudius' colors. The knight hesitates for a moment, and then sighs.

"Stay there."

At least someone's loyal to her. That shows that she at least tends to the people she likes, right?

The knight knocks on Mia's door, and when prompted to, opens the door and steps inside.

"That criminal maid you picked up wants to see you, Lady Mia."

"Ah, Rosa?" My skin crawls as Mia speaks my name with genuine eagerness. She's been ignoring me the entire way back, so why is she so excited now? Also, 'criminal'? And you aren't correcting her, Mia? It feels like it's been a while since I felt hostility like that from anyone else than the demons and Johannes... Also, you got my name wrong again, Mia... I thought we were over this, or is this because Seid confirmed that I am Rosa?.

"Send her in, I was actually about to call for her."

"As you wish, Lady Mia."

The knight turns and looks down at me with her large frame, with a spiteful look in her eyes. Then steps aside.

"Go inside... but don't do anything stupid," she hisses at me quietly.

I step inside Mia's room, ignoring the knight... because she doesn't matter at this point. Mia's room, while brightly lit, feels eerie somehow. Perhaps because Mia, who is now in a dress that probably costs more than I could have earned in a year in our old world, has the darkening skies outside in the windows behind her. It reminds me of Azzo's words of fate.

Mia sits at an actual work-desk, but rather than doing anything that looks like official papers, she's sitting with a diary in front of her... I can't read much of it, but on the middle of the second page, Theodore's name is written in large capital letters, and circled multiple times.

It makes my skin crawl.

"Rosalin. You know that I have visions of the future, right? And that they are there to help us save this kingdom?"

Mia smiles, but something about the look in her eyes feels wrong. The fact that she smiles while saying that feels eerie, considering everything that happened in Seidrspir. Mia... what are you trying to do?

"...Yes..." some of it was mentioned on the journey to the temple of Seid. Of course her predictions were wrong because Seid wanted them to be.

No, rather than that, is writing in your diary what you've been doing while I was in the triage tent, and while I talked with Azzo? Is that all? Are you kidding me?
