Walking into Victoria Secret, Tora looked over at Rayne. This is the first time they've been shopping since she's been back and she was excited for her to get out the house.

"I'm going to get this set." She said holding up a nude laced bra and panty set.

Rayne nodded her head in agreement.

"Look at my hands." Rayne said smiling.

She had picked up whatever she could find in her size. Not caring what they looked like because for the first time in years, she was able to buy what she liked. What she wanted.

Her father had gave her a card and told her to get whatever she wanted. It made her curious again to how he got his money but she never said anything.

After taking trips back and forth to the car, they went to the food court. There was this one spot that had really good wings and that's definitely what Rayne was craving.

"So have you been job or house searching?" Tora asked.

"Not yet. My dad says he wants me to stay forever." She said before laughing.

"Well shit tell him I want a room in that big ass house too."

"I think I want to get back to being an assistant at a law firm. I enjoyed my two pieces and I loved the drama."

"Of course you loved you some drama. That's cool, why don't you work for your dad?"

"That's what he does? He's a lawyer? Who the fuck he be working with/for?" She asked before laughing.

"Girl all the dope dealers. He's taken on some celebrities as well. Your dad's name holds weight in the city. The best of the best."

"Food for thought."

"Okay so real shit, you talked to Zahir?"

Confused by her question, Rayne eyed her cousin. What was it with them asking her about him? The past is the past and they're now living in the present. Apparently their lives didn't intertwine together anymore.

She saw him around from time to time but that was about it. They haven't spoken since she left his house and she decided to keep it that way. She also didn't understand why that conversation hurt her if she didn't really remember him.

Acknowledging the fact that they once felt something for each other and that was done and over with was something that everyone in their inner circle needed to grasp.

"No." She finally said.

"Well why not?"

"I'm confused at this point."

She sucked her teeth. "I know you're not that dense."

"Excuse me?"

"Sorry I didn't mean it like that. You were once in love with that man. That's all you ever talked about when we were together. I mean not literally but you get it..."

"Katora..."

"Katora nothing. What the fuck is the hold up?" She asked cutting her off.

"What is with everybody? I guess I loved him before but that was over 10 years ago. I moved on and he clearly did too. He doesn't want to relive his past which included me and I'm okay with that. I'm not the same girl anymore Tora."
