CHAPTER 16: We will meet again

Days passed and interesting things happened. One day a boy was looking for his Cubchoo and Ash and company searched for it. Ash's Oshawott and Dawn's Piplup helped in the searching as well, but they were still in conflict between them. Since it didn't appear nearby, they reunited to know more about the case. The missing Pokémon lived in a Pokémon house in a terrain together with the young boy's mansion. Cilan started an investigation. They thought the polar bear Pokémon had escaped, but the door opened from the outside. Later, they had the idea of someone had jumped the walls of the terrain and kidnapped Cubchoo; nevertheless, the walls had a security alarm over the wall that didn't sound that night. If it wasn't from above, it was from below. Maybe the kidnapper entered digging a tunnel below the walls. They went to the borders and looked for clues, until they found footsteps that went towards a hole in the ground. They went outside and tried to search the missing Cubchoo. They were able to find it playing with a Larvitar. The case was solved.

Another day was when suddenly there was no light in Cynthia's house. Officer Jenny informed that there was a Dragonite causing troubles in a power plant. The trainers went to see and tried to calm down the Dragon Pokémon. After entering and seeing from near, they noticed that he was injured. Ash's Oshawott and Dawn's Piplup helped that Iris wasn't hit by the Flamethrower of the injured Pokémon, and tried to open the door that was blocked, without success. Iris knew, for a vision that she had after touching the dragon, that he was attacked by a Hydreigon when he was protecting a flock of Pidove. The officer Jenny, with other trainers, had to enter by the force while the others looked for proof of innocence of Dragonite. Iris was guarding and defending the Dragon Pokémon until Iris's companions showed a proof in a video of a security camera in the forest, which it showed that Dragonite had been injured by Hydreigon's attack and fell sore to the power plant. They carried the Kantonian Dragon Pokémon to the Pokémon Centre, where Nurse Joy healed his wounds. After being cured, the dragon had two options, leave the place, or stay with Iris, and he chose the second option. The girl that who aspires to be a Dragon Master caught Dragonite. Everything came back to normal.

The day where the Pokémon World Tournament Junior Cup began, where the trainers would participate and would do their best to win. The winner would have the honor to face Alder, champion of the Unova region. After some incidents with Iris's Dragonite, who didn't want to listen to his trainer. The finalist were Ash and Trip, his rival. The winner was Trip and he had the chance of facing Alder. Sadly, the young man lost against the incredible power of the champion's Pokémon. The tourney ended like that.

The heroes went to Cynthia's house. Dawn said that she had to go towards Johto for a contest that was going to perform there, so Ash and Dawn had a friendly battle, but it was interrupted by the Sinnoh's champion. It was declared a draw. The next morning, they went to the port to say goodbye to Dawn, they possibly would meet again. The one who was sadder was Dawn's Piplup, he was sad to say goodbye to the girl that he loved the most. In that moment, Ash's Oshawott came out from his Poké Ball by what the penguin was doing. Both saw each other with much anger, there was a big tension in the air. Oshawott thought that Piplup could be a vain, very proud, smug, unbearable, conceited Pokémon that tried to steal his girl several times; despite that, he knew one thing... he was going to miss him so much. With watery eyes, they gave a hug to say goodbye, and they said in the end that in some future they were going to meet again. Meloetta was happy that they become friends, after many arguing and fights.

After saying the last goodbye, Piplup and Dawn boarded the plane towards Johto. All of them were going to miss the two of them. Oshawott was a little bit sad for saying goodbye to his rival that lived a bunch of memorable moments, a little bit. Now that Piplup wasn't there, the otter was happy because he had Meloetta for him and only for him, and nobody was going to steal her again. He was still in love with her, he would soon win her heart if no inconvenience happens from anywhere. He was content again.
