CHAPTER 18: The perfect girl

A ton of things occurred after saying goodbye to Meloetta, the Mythical Pokémon. Ash participated in the Unova League, but he wasn't the winner, but his spirit of adventure was intact. Afterwards, he met a person, named "N", who was searching for the harmony between humans and Pokémon, and he hated seeing Pokémon fight each other. There was a clash of ideals between Ash and N. No one knew where he came from, but it was found out later that he was bound with a criminal organization called Team Plasma. They wanted the domination of the Unova Region through the Pokémon's control with very advance technology. They wanted N to do a ritual to summon Reshiram, a very powerful Legendary Pokémon of the Unova Region, but thanks to the heroes, they were able to stop Team Plasma's plans, and they were under arrest. N thanked to trainers for the help to stop the evil organization, and they said goodbye for the last time.

Ash didn't know what to do now, until he was told that he could return to Kanto, his native region, by a cruise. He and his companions accepted the idea and they went in cruise towards Kanto, passing through several island called Decolore Islands, which the heroes lived a bunch of adventures. Each island had a unique characteristic that stood out by itself. One of those islands was Scalchop Island, which was the next destination for Ash, and where his Oshawott would have a day that he wouldn't forget.

Ash, Iris, and Cilan were eating until they noticed that there were a lot Oshawott and Dewott walking around the cruise. They wondered why there were so many of those Pokémon. Porter, the man in charge of the cruise, said that the next destination was the Scalchop Island, where the Oshawott and Dewott and their trainers would assemble for a competition, the Scalchop King Competition, and which would start on the same day. Ash's Oshawott came out from his Poké Ball with a lot of enthusiasm to participate in the tourney. It was decided, Ash and his Oshawott would going to participate in the Scalchop King Competition and they would do their best to win.

After disembark, they could see a whole market with motif of scalchops. Cookies, chocolates, shirts with figures of them, amulets, desserts, candies, everything had theme of scalchop. Ash and company where very impressed with what they sold. In the bottom of the market, there was Freddy the Scoop, narrator of tourneys, in a scalchop costume, giving the start the annual competition. The winner of the tourney would receive a prize, the golden scalchop. It was so shiny. Afterwards, the narrator welcomed the winner of the female division of the competition, a female Oshawott called Osharina. She entered the stage with a royalty coat and a tiara on her head. Everyone was charmed by her beautiful presence.

The one who was delighted the most until falling in love was Ash's Oshawott. It was a dream, she was a very cute female, and that also was of his own species. The winner of the competition would have the honor to sit on Osharina side. She was the perfect girl to win her heart. He would do everything to be next to her. The devotion of Ash's Oshawott was a little bit exaggerated, he went down from his trainer's shoulder and he ran around the audience to give her flowers. "Hey sweetie! Do you wanna be my girlfriend?" he said all in love. Osharina looked at him with slight scorn and ignored him completely going to other part of the stage. Why did she reject him? he thought. Ash's Oshawott tried to go up the stage to talk to her, but he got hit in the head by a scalchop from a Dewott with an orange scarf on his neck.

Ash immediately went to see his Pokémon, who still had the flowers in his paws. He was very sore to stand up. His trainer asked what Oshawott did to deserve that to the responsible of hitting his Pokémon. A young man with glasses, called Cadbury, talked, saying that happened to anyone that got too close to the queen, nobody got close to Osharina. He also said that she would be Caesar's future queen, who was the Dewott of the boy. He mentioned that he was the most appropriate candidate to be the Scachop King, he had been trained since very young for that job, and he would win the competition to be on Osharina's side. That made Ash offended, saying that his Oshawott would be the winner of the tourney. There also was tension between Ash's Oshawott and Cadbury's Dewott. Everything would be decided in the competition.
