"Dude, it's just horrible." Dustin frowned.

The party was all sat down at their usual spot in the cafeteria, all of them discussing the murders that took place the night before.

"I mean, what type of messed up fuck does that to kids? Like, killing adults is bad enough but when it's literally children who have a whole life to live it's just even worse." Dustin frowned.

"I know. . . I knew Jason, he was genuinely a sweet person. Yeah, he had his faults but so does everybody. He didn't deserve to die the way he did." Lucas nodded in agreement.

"I knew Chrissy. She was so sweet." El frowned, looking like she was about to burst into tears. "We used to sit together in English and History, she was so nice to me." She spoke quietly.

"Hey, it's okay. . ." Will frowned, gently wrapping his arm around her and pulling her in closer. "Please don't cry, it's okay." He spoke softly.

"I'm not gonna cry." El murmured.

"It's okay if you do. She was your friend. I understand." Will smiled softly down at her. El gave him a soft smile back and gently pulled away from the hug.

"What even happened to them anyway?" Mike asked, taking a large bite of his food. "They get stabbed or something? That's what I heard." He shrugged.

"Chrissy got stabbed. We don't really know what happened to Jason. All we know is they were both found with their insides literally on their outside." Max told him.

"Ew." Mike grimaced.

"Yeah, Jason was found tied to a chair in her backyard with his intestine just hanging out of his stomach and then Chrissy was found hanging by a tree in her front garden using her own organs as the rope." Max told him.

"That's fucking disgusting, you've just put me off my food you dick." Mike scowled, pushing his food away from him and glaring over at Max.

"You're so dramatic, Mike." Will laughed softly, Mike looking over at him and scoffing.

"Whatever." He grinned.

"Ew, cut it out you little weirdos! We don't wanna hear you flirting again." Lucas scowled.

"Dude, I just looked at him! At what point did I flirt!?" Mike scowled.

"You normally flirt. It's actually insufferable." Lucas scoffed.

"Yeah, well today I didn't. You should be glad. I might just start flirting with him to piss you off now." Mike scoffed, moving closer to Will and wrapping an arm around him.

"Are you serious? Are you actually serious?" Lucas asked.

"Do I look like I'm joking?" Mike grinned, obviously just trying to piss Lucas off now.

"Whatever. Weirdos." Lucas grumbled.

Mike let out a small laugh and let go of Will, staying closely beside him and just looking around at everybody else.

"Who do you think would've done this?" Dustin asked. "Do you think someone at our school did it?" He frowned.

"As if." Mike chuckled.

"I don't know, it's possible. I mean, the police clearly think that someone here has done it." Lucas shrugged.

"I didn't kill nobody." Mike shrugged.

"Nobody said you did." Lucas told him.

"Thanks, buddy." Mike grinned.

Will just looked between the five, obviously very uncomfortable, not liking how lightly everybody was taking this situation.

"What's wrong?" Mike frowned, noticing how tense Will seemed to be.

"None of you are really taking this seriously. I mean, what if the killer strikes again? We don't know how badly this could all turn out. . . This could be a serial killer!" Will frowned.

"It's probably just a one time thing to scare people. It's okay, Will. You don't need to panic." Mike spoke gently, pulling Will in closer to him and wrapping an arm round his shoulder.

"Whatever." Will murmured, looking incredibly disturbed.

". . .Are you okay?" Max asked as she looked at Will. "I know that all the stuff with the murders and stuff might be, um. . . bringing back bad memories." Max frowned.

"I'm fine." Will snapped.

"Are you sure? You can talk to us, man. We understand that what you went through was insane. If you need to talk then we'll listen." Lucas frowned.

"I don't wanna talk, I'm fine. I'm just- It brings back bad memories, okay?" Will spoke quietly.

"Are you sure? We just- We know it's coming up on the one year anniversary and we're worried." Dustin frowned.

"I'm fine. I promise." Will told them, his voice firm. "I just don't wanna think about it, okay? Just drop it." Will murmured.

"Okay. . ." Dustin spoke quietly, obviously very worried for him.

Everybody sat there in silence, Will looking around the table before letting out a small pissed off grunt.

"I'm going, it's just awkward now. I'll see you all later, okay?" He grumbled, grabbing his bag and getting up.

"Wh- Will, just stay here?" Mike frowned as he looked up at Will.

"No, I'll see you later, okay?" Will snapped.

". . .Okay." Mike nodded, watching as Will walked off with a worried look on his face.
