-- #3RDPERSON
It was now the next day and Will was walking around school, looking around nervously as he felt all eyes on him. He tried to ignore it and just headed to the cafeteria, wanting to sit down with his friends and take his mind off things. He walked in and sat down with them, all of them going quiet as they looked up at him.
"If you're all gonna be weird I'm leaving." Will warned, setting his bag down and glaring between them all.
"We aren't being weird." Dustin snapped.
Will looked over at him, slightly shocked at how rude he was being, before remembering what had happened last night with Steve.
". . .Are you okay?" Will spoke gently, placing a gentle hand on Dustin's shoulder.
"No." Dustin murmured, just staring down at his food.
"Do you wanna talk?" Will asked, trying to get Dustin to open up.
". . .Maybe later." Dustin mumbled, Will nodding. Will let out a soft sigh and just looked around, pausing as he noticed that Mike was missing.
"Where's Mike?" He asked.
"I don't know if he's coming to school today. He was pissed last night." Lucas murmured.
"What? What did he say?" Will frowned.
"He called me last night and told me about the whole, um. . . You accusing him of being a murderer thing." Lucas murmured. "He was really mad, like, he was raging. If you think he'll get back together with you then, erm, don't get your hopes up." Lucas told him.
"Oh." Will spoke quietly, now just looking upset. "I didn't mean to upset him. I was just scared. . ." He murmured.
"I get that, but like, he's your boyfriend. If Max got accused by the police I'd be the first person in there defending her." Lucas frowned.
"Right, but Lucas, would you still be defending her if you just got chased around your house by someone wearing a ghost face costume with a knife in their hand!" Will scowled, Lucas going silent. "Yeah, that's what I thought." He scowled.
"How do you know it wasn't him who attacked you?" El asked.
"Because he was outside my window and the ghost face guy was at my door." Will murmured. "What a fucking weirdo, like, who the hell even does that." Will scowled.
A few others let out a small hums of agreement, the table going silent. Will looked around and noticed he was getting a lot of weird looks, only making him even more uncomfortable.
". . .You know what, I'm gonna go. This is just creeping me out now." He murmured, grabbing his bag and getting up.
He went into the bathroom and sat down, trying not to freak out. As he was sat there he heard some people talking.
"I don't think he was ever attacked." A boy spoke firmly.
"What? Why not?" Another boy scoffed.
"He probably just wants attention." He shrugged.
"Troy, that's so horrible. He was attacked last night, give him a break." The other boy frowned.
"It's obviously all a lie. I bet you he's the killer and he's just trying to throw the police off." Troy scoffed.
"That's so stupid. Why would you even think that?" The other boy rolled his eyes.
"It's so obvious. He wants to get revenge for his dad. Tomorrow it'll be a year since his dad's murder, he's been very obviously on edge lately. Maybe he just snapped." Troy grinned.
"You're weird." The boy scoffed.
"I'm right." Troy scowled. "Hurry up, we need to go find James." He scoffed, grabbing the other boy by his arm and dragging him out.
Will let out a small sigh and unlocked the cubicle door, looking around and seeing the toilets were empty. He walked over to the sinks and got some water in his hands, gently splashing it across his face. He grabbed a small paper towel to dry his face, and as he was putting it in the bin he heard something.
"Will." A quiet voice spoke.
Will turned around, looking around nervously. He knelt down and looked at the floor of all the cubicles, but nobody was there.
"Maybe I'm just being paranoid." Will thought to himself, slinging his bag over his shoulder and beginning to walk out.
As he was walking away he heard the sound of foot steps, making him freeze. He looked around to see two black boots stepping down onto the floor in the last cubicle, Will's eyes widening in horror. The door flung open and someone wearing a ghost face costume came walking out.
"Suprise." They grinned.
Well let out a horrified scream and ran out of the bathroom, trying to get back to the cafeteria. As he was running he bumped into someone, the person letting out a loud pissed off grunt.
"Are you fucking serious!?" Mike yelled as he dropped his food that he had just bought.
"Mike, oh my god!" Will gasped, instantly wrapping his arms around him.
"Hey, what's wrong?" Mike frowned, noticing how terrified Will looked.
"Someone was there! They- They had that fucking mask on!" Will panicked.
"Hey, hey, calm down. It was probably just some prick trying to scare you." Mike sighed.
"No, no no no it was them! I swear it was!" Will panicked.
"Will, it's okay. Come on, why don't we go and see everyone else, yeah?" He spoke gently, trying to soothe Will.
"Okay. . ."
