Few hours later

The party were all at Mike's house now, all of them sat in the basement.

"I think we should watch a movie." Lucas grinned.

"Dude, I thought you said we'd have fun tonight? We literally do movies every single time!" Mike scoffed.

"Mike, shut up. I didn't get to finish my sentence." Lucas scowled.

Mike went quiet, letting Lucas speak.

"We should watch the scream movies!" Lucas announced.

There was a mix of replies, some saying that it sounded fun and some disagreeing with what he was saying.

"Look, it could lift our spirits! The scream movies are funny, they could make all of this seem like some sort of big joke?" Lucas shrugged.

"Um, I don't think that scream is a good idea." Max frowned. "All of the killing and stuff is just gonna put us more on edge, you do realized that, right?" Max scoffed.

"Oh my god, why are you all so boring!" Lucas whined. "I wanna have fun, let's actually have fun! You all never pick a scary movie to watch, can we just watch it this once?" Lucas scoffed.

". . .Fine." Mike sighed.

"Yes! Thank you!" Lucas grinned, going over to the TV and beginning to pick out which scream movie to watch.

Mike rolled his eyes and looked down at Will, Will sitting there looking terrified.

"Hey, what's wrong?" He frowned.

"I don't wanna watch this. I can't do it." Will spoke quietly, sounding genuinely terrified.

"It's okay, you don't have to. Why don't we go upstairs for half an hour?" Mike smiled.

"I don't wanna ruin your fun." Will murmured. "I know you love the scream movies. . . I can just go upstairs for half an hour on my own. I'll just grab a drink or something." Will sighed.

"Are you sure?" Mike frowned.

"Yeah, I'll be fine." Will nodded.

"Okay. . ." Mike frowned, giving him a soft kiss.

Will got up and left the room, everybody looking over at him in confusion.

"Why's he leaving?" Lucas frowned.

"Why do you think, Lucas?" Mike scoffed. "You're putting on a scream movie where people get brutally murdered. Do you think he's gonna want to watch that after what happened last year?" Mike scowled.

"Oh, shit. I forgot about that. . ." Lucas murmured.

"Whatever, just put it on." Mike rolled his eyes.

"Are you sure?" Lucas ftowned.

"Yeah, just put it on. He'll be fine." Mike sighed.

Lucas hesitated slightly before putting on the movie, everybody sitting back and watching it. Mike looked up at the basement stairs, still slightly worried about Will.

After half an hour of Mike continuously checking his watch he began to get seriously worried, his leg bouncing nervously.

"I'm going to find him, it's been way too long now." Mike announced.

"Dude, chill. I'll go. I need to grab a drink anyway." Max shrugged.

"Yeah, I'll come too. I wanna get some food." El smiled, standing up and giving Mike a small reassuring nod. "Mike, he's gonna be okay. You know what Will's like, he's probably gotten distracted talking to Jonathan or Robin." El laughed softly.

"I guess." Mike murmured.

"Chill. We'll go find him now." Max shrugged.

El and Max both went up the stairs, both of them walking into the kitchen and grabbing some beer.

"What type do you think they'd like?" Max frowned as she saw the two different types in the fridge.

"I'm not sure. . ." El murmured, trying to find some coke or something in the fridge. "I'll be right back, I'm gonna go and check their freezer in the garage. I think they have some stuff in there." El frowned.

"Alright." Max nodded, not sounding like she even heard what El said.

El rolled her eyes and walked over to the garage, opening the door and flicking the light on. She went over to the fridge, smiling as she saw some cans of coke and sprite.

"Hell yeah, I knew I was right." She murmured to herself, beginning to grab some of the cans.

As she was grabbing them she heard a small slam, looking over to see the door now shut and someone stood in front of it.

"God, Lucas, I thought you'd be more original." El rolled her eyes as she saw someone in a ghost face costume.

She grinned and walked over, standing in front of him.

"You need to get out of that costume, if Will sees you in it he will lose his mind." She chuckled, trying to push past him. "Yeah, jokes over, get out of the way." She grunted, trying to push past them.

The person just shook their head, El looking up at them for a moment before realizing something.

"Oh, I get it. You wanna do that scream scene?" El grinned.

The person nodded their head, El grinning and clearing her throat.

"No, please don't kill me Mr Ghostface, I wanna be in the sequal!" She pointed playfully.

She let out a small giggle and tried to get out of the door, the person not budging.

"Okay, this isn't funny anymore, Lucas. I wanna go back and finish the movie." She grunted.

The person in front of her pulled out a knife, El letting out a soft scoff and just rolling her eyes. She tried to push them out of the way, the person grabbing her arm and holding onto her, quickly slashing the along the bottom of her arm. She let out a loud, pained gasp and dropped the cans.

"The fuck!?" She scowled.

She began backing away, holding her arm which was now bleeding profusely. The person in the mask slowly walked towards her, tilting their head in an almost mocking way as they watched her struggle.

"What the fuck are you doing!? This isn't funny!" El snapped, both of her hands now smothered in blood as she desperately tried to stop the bleeding.

She turned around to run, only to see that she had been backed into a corner. She looked up at the killer, genuine terror on her face.

"Bye bye, El." The killer grinned, holding the knife up above their head.

El let out a soft sob, shaking her head in terror. The killer gave her one last look.
