Two days later Harry was again looking over his estate files. Remus and he had discussed the idea of visiting his other properties and now Harry was trying to decide which one first. The Gaunt house was destroyed, as was Potter House, and the second one was not somewhere he wanted to visit just yet. Dorea was in the Peverell Villa and Harry wanted to at least exchange letters with her before springing his presence on the older woman. Slytherin House was near Hogwarts so he could try and find that after he returned to school. So that left the Potter Cottage in Devon, Peverell Manor in South Yorkshire, Slytherin Castle in Norfolk and Palais Slytherin in France. Visiting France would probably take a lot of energy, and the castle hadn't been inhabited since the 11th century. So Potter Cottage and Peverell Manor were the best choices. Harry decided.

"Mipsy?" Harry called into the open air.

The little elf appeared with a pop. "Yes Harry sir?" She asked.

"Do we have a... calendar or... date planner?" He asked.

Mipsy nodded and clicked her fingers. A date planner book for the year appeared on the table in front of Harry where he sat in his room. "Thank you," Harry smiled. Mipsy blushed, as she always did when he thanked her and went to apparate away again. "Wait," Harry stopped her as a thought crossed his mind. "It's been over a week since we moved here," he said. Mipsy nodded, confusion evident in her body language. "And you still haven't said if you want to be paid."

The house elf squeaked and hopped from foot to foot. "Mipsy wants to stay and work for Harry," she said.

"I know," Harry nodded. "And you can. I just... I think you deserve to be paid for all the work you do for me."

"What would Mipsy do with money?" She asked, eyes wide.

"I don't know," Harry shrugged. "Get a new dress," he suggested. The elf was always dressed in a slightly tattered old dress that seemed to be made of sheets, she could use a new one.

"Mipsy would like a new dress," Mipsy said. "What would you pay Mipsy?"

"How about... three galleons a person?" Harry said after a moment of thought.

"A person?"

'Three galleons for every person living in the house," Harry explained. "So six a... fortnight, right now."

Mipsy thought for a moment, "Mipsy would... like that."

"Good," Harry smiled wide. "I'll pay you for the first time tomorrow." Mipsy nodded quickly, a blush painting her cheeks and then popped away quickly. Harry laughed and shook his head.

Harry picked at his lunch. It was delicious as always but he found he lacked an appetite today. "Harry?" Remus called, "are you alright?"

Harry blinked, "yeah... I...-" he sighed- "I should write to Dorea."

"You should," Remus agreed. "I am sure she would be pleased by it."

"I just... Why hasn't she sent any letters to me? We're the only family either of us have left?" Harry furrowed his brows.
