Harry was across the room before he even registered he was moving. Colliding with Sirius and wrapping his arms tightly around his godfather's too small waist. Sirius let out a soft chuckle, gripping Harry back with the same ferocity. "I missed you," he said softly.

"I missed you too," Harry muttered. Another hand touched his back as Remus joined them. Harry pulled back slightly to look at the two men, who were staring at each other with expressions that spoke of months of starvation. Harry smiled to himself and wiggled out of Sirius's grip to let the two hug instead.

"Siri," Remus gasped out. "You look terrible."

Sirius let out a bark of laughter. "And you look great Rem," he smiled. Remus rolled his eyes, then the two collapsed into a tight hug that made Harry grin.

He watched the two hug for a good minute before sighing and clearing his throat, "hey... we do have things to discuss."

The two older men pulled apart with smiles on their faces. Remus stepped back slightly, but Sirius' hand on his arm stopped him. "Sorry Harry," Remus smiled tightly. "You're right, we have a lot to talk about and... a lot"

Sirius narrowed his eyes, "yes, what happened? You said you had an inheritance?"

"I did," Harry nodded. "Let's go sit down." Harry led his godfathers to the sitting room and took a seat on the smallest couch. Remus pulled Siris to the larger one to Harry's left, leaning slightly against his husband when they sat.

Sirius' eyes were darting around the room as he took everything in, "it really hasn't changed at all."

"So I've heard," Harry smiled. "Remus has been telling me about what it was like when my grandparents lived here, and it doesn't sound very different."

"It isn't," Sirius agreed. "I bet the guest room is still just as I left it even."

"Left it?" Harry asked with a cocked head. He knew he had to explain things to Sirius but it wouldn't hurt to hear more about Sirius being in the manor either.

"Mhm, after seventh year, when I moved out."

"You lived here?" Harry exclaimed.

Sirius chucked. "Yep."

"Why?"

Sirius's expression darkened and Harry almost said that he didn't have to discuss it if he didn't want to but Sirius spoke. "My parents weren't the... best, I ran away when I was sixteen, the summer before sixth year. I came right here. Ephie and Monty took me in without a thought and I lived here until I graduated, then I bought my own apartment in London."

"That was nice of them," Harry smiled. He could tell however, that Sirius didn't want to talk about it any more and moved on. Harry cleared his throat. "I uhh... should I start at the beginning?"

"That might be best," Remus leant forward.

Harry nodded, and began to tell the story of his birthday and the trip to Gringotts. "-and the test said. Actually," he paused. "Mipsy, can you get me my inheritance test please?" There was a popping sound and the paper appeared on the table in between the couches. "Here," Harry handed it to Sirius.

Sirius read over the paper, his expression getting more and more confused as he did. "I- I didn't think I could be your guardian."

"I didn't either," Remus said. "But I think it might be because you never got a trial and so were never convicted, magic didn't recognize the imprisonment-"

"-Wait! You never got a trial?" Harry interrupted Remus, then winced and sent an apologetic look his way.

"No," Sirius sneered. "Good old Lord Crouch just sent me straight to Azkaban."
