ANGEL OF DEATH

Chris had grown up believing he was destined for something great in life. He wasn't the best at school, he excelled at sports, he liked pretty girls and he had great friends. He was loyal to family members and his friends. He tried his very best. He liked having fun.

He really liked pretty girls though.

And she was there, all alone at the drink table, dressed like a reaper. Halloween wasn't exactly Chris' favorite time of year, he much preferred Christmas. But it was something about today which felt different to Chris. He paused his conversation with Madison Beer, and walked over to the pretty girl. He'd never seen her before, but he thanked whatever God would listen that Madison invited her. "Hey." Chris smiled charismatically. He wasn't really used to flirting with girls like this. He was more of a awkwardly slide into your DMs and pray you answered and didn't ignore him kinda guy. He would have been a fool had he not spoken to you. You were wearing all black. A skin tight lacy black strappy dress, covered by a long black cloak. The hood was up, hiding most of her hair. She glanced at him, sending electricity through Chris. He felt like he was looking at an angel. "What's your name?"

She smiled slowly, delicately. "It's Y/n."

Y/n. Y/n. Y/n. The name rolled around in his head like a marble. "I'm Chris."

"I know." She replied coyly. She stopped pouring the alcoholic beverage into her cup. "I know who you are." Chris smiled again and nodded. "Yeah. Are you a friend of Madison's?" Chris asked, beginning to make small talk with her. "Not really." The woman replied. Something about her was so unique to Chris. Chris nodded. He understood. Sometimes in the media world, it was hard to tell who was a real honest friend. "I was just looking for a party, friend of a friend mentioned this one. Thought I'd stop by for a while... See if there's anything," she set her drink down, getting closer to Chris. "Interesting here." she whispered in his ear, a hand pressed against his black hoodie. She pushed him back slightly, walking away. Her cloak bristled as she walked away. It was like the crowd moved out of her way, clearing a path just for her as she moved across the floor. Chris glanced back at his brothers for a second before continuing forward to follow her. The black of her cloak was as dark as night, and almost hard to follow as she moved through the crowd with ease. Chris made a quick run after her. She moved slow, gracefully, like she was gliding across the floor.

Chris kept bumping into people, not even turning to apologize for half a second. The back door slid open, Chris not too far behind her. He walked through the back door. "Y/n?" he shouted into the empty darkness. He looked around, no one. It was completely empty and she had disappeared. Chris stood puzzled. He didn't see her again for the rest of the party.

Three days later, Chris and his brother Nick were attending a different party. This one was one of the infamous Tara Yummy parties, and was a lot more insane than Madison's. People were drinking, dancing, getting high. It was a lot bigger than Madison's party was. Matt had decided not to go that night, feeling rather ill. The youngest and the oldest triplet found themselves in conversation with Larray, talking about the party they had just gone to with Madison Beer. Chris had gotten lost in conversation for a second, on a rampage about how adorable funny Madison was, retelling a story he loved to hear from Madison all the time. It was then, when he froze.

A few feet away, was Y/n. Truth be told, he hadn't stopped thinking about her for the past three days. He remembered every little thing about her. How much taller he was than her, what she was wearing, what she smelled like. Her scent was almost something untraceable. It smelled like roses, but old. Like grandma level old, but it was nice. It smelled like home. "Hold on a sec." Chris said, excusing himself from his brother and Larray. Nick watched as his brother walked off. "That was so weird." Nick said, watching Chris leave. With a shake of his head, he tried to excuse Chris' strange behavior, and let himself get lost in the conversation again.
