Sebastian pressed his lips hard against hers. In the past few years, he thought about this exact moment often, he thought about it all of the time. The taste of her haunted his mouth since their first kiss and he never stopped craving the sweetness of her.
His hands dug into those beautiful golden locks that he could never stop himself from staring at. The way that they always dangled in front of her dark eyes and tempted him to touch her. He didn't want them to get in the way as he pressed his mouth deep against hers. There wasn't room for anything to come between them.
The pressure of finally touching her was overwhelming. They nearly tumbled backward until her back found the cottage wall behind them for balance. Sebastian was too focused on the weight of her body against him to realize the clumsy movement.
Antheia kissed him back as if it was a competition between the two of them. Her heart pounded all the way up into her throat in anticipation. If it was a competition, then she didn't want to lose again.
It felt as if her breath was being stolen straight from her lungs and electricity surged through every nerve of her body. The warmth of the kiss made her entire body overheat. Her hands dropped whatever she had been holding onto to find his hands as they coursed through her hair. The hair on the back of her neck was pulled taut under the tension. His grip on her was so tight that she had felt it would have been impossible to break away, although she didn't want to. She had sunk into the kiss as much as he had. Letting it consume her.
It wasn't the gentle kind of kiss that she had grown used to. Neither were the shy or the unsure people that they had been years before. After years of regret and longing, they were hungry for each other.
Their teeth nearly collided with one another in a heated passion. They had loved each other without any mercy.
It was the way that Antheia had always craved to be loved. There had been a gentle comfort in having someone there to hold her hand, to treat her softly, or whisper sweet nothings to her, but it didn't fulfill her. It didn't make her heart race and fill her with the adrenaline that she desired. Sebastian was the only person that treated her as if he wasn't afraid of hurting her because she was his equal as if they had been made for each other. For the first time in years, she had felt alive again in that moment.
Finally, Sebastian broke the kiss for air. He rested his forehead against hers, not daring to move too far away and smother the flames that were growing out of control between them. His thumb brushed over the hair under his hands as he studied over her.
It was always impossible to read the look on her face. It always spiked his curiosity.
Antheia didn't say a word. There wasn't really anything that she had wanted to say at that point. It hadn't been that she was speechless, but she didn't like the coldness on her lips after he parted.
"This is a bad idea, I'm sorry," Sebastian said in a hushed heavy voice. He was still struggling to catch his breath.
His eyes didn't match his words. The way his sight kept flickering down to find her lips told her a different story.
She could see straight through him; it was the only thing that he was thinking about and she wanted it too. It was the only thing that she wanted since the first time that they kissed years ago. Her largest regret had always been not being with him sooner, for not risking it together because she had been too foolish to pick her head over her heart.
