Hi  guys!
First of all, sorry for a "fake chapter" ;)   I just have some things to say but don't want to post all of them directly on my page.

Secondly, I figured I should let you know that I don't really know when I'll update next. Now that I'm back from my 'vacation', there's a gazillion things to do. The summer hasn't ended, yet I'm already EXTRA busy. I might get literally no time for writing until the end of the month, then I'll have like 1-2 days before my next absence (10 days or so). And after that everything is blurry... Plus, more story lines means more time to think about how to avoid plot holes, you know. My point is, the more or less consistent updates (like the ones during this July) are pretty much over. And I'm genuinely sorry for that! Life leaves me no choice, though. However, I'd like to make it perfectly clear that I have NO intention to abandon the book. Let it be once a month or so, I'll keep writing whenever I get enough free time! You'll just have to be WAY more patient now :)(

Last but not least, I wanted to...praise myself a little ;)   The last two chapter are performing really well! It's safe to say your feedback has confirmed my prediction about them being the 'best received' so far. Chapter 18 has more views than any of the Chapters 11-17 (Idk how, did like 20 of you come back to reread it? Or do some people start reading books from the end? It's painfully confusing lol). Chapter 19 hasn't got a lot of views yet, but it's the first one to get more than 3 votes! Guess one of my 'more quiet' readers decided to be generous this time ;)   Not that it's a big achievement, but it's progress! By the way, Wattpad shows me that my story has 30 engaged readers now. There's 50+ views on each chapter, though, so it seems like half of my readers aren't logged in, probably... Guys, create an account (with an alternative email if you must) and comment and vote, please! It'll much more fun for all of us :)

Statistics aside, what I actually planned to discuss regarding the last two chapters is the content. I spent like 3-4 days on writing and checking what turned out to be some sort of a 'prequel' to my story. I'm happy with the result! Sure it was sad, kinda tragic, maybe even a little messy...but it felt right for whatever reason. Initially, it meant to describe Rani and Baliyo's parents's demise only. Then I realized that since the villain tiger was still alive (one of the very few things I'd actually planned before sitting down to write instead of improvising xD), him leaving the Tree of life after killing Sahasi and Ananda didn't make sense. Therefore the idea of Moto and Kuruka was born. However, they were supposed to survive the battle, yet somehow disappear before the Lion guard's arrival. I didn't want them to simply abandon the royal family after such tragedy, so...well, you know already. That left the kingdom basically unprotected, hence NIrmala came to help. The other two unnamed lions I only decided to add so that the 'defense' would make sense (one young lioness wouldn't really make any difference if the murderer decided to come back, right?). Incorporating her into the 'prequel' was unplanned and kinda random, but let's just call in a 'fortunate inspiration' ;)

Anyway, thanks to everyone who has reached this far and keeps reading my digital yapping xD. Despite that I'll often be inactive here from now on, feel free to go back to the beginning of the book and comment and vote! It really helps the algorithm, which is the only thing that will keep the story afloat while the updates are slow. I won't leave your thoughts in the comment section unanswered, that you can be sure of! Bye for now!
