Chapter 28: Lora's scheme

Harold's POV

Lora's mates are all three stripes as she is the "most beautiful female of the city" and "she only gets the best" according to her. That's why she's courting some other males with three stripes and more, like me and William.

I almost accepted her because of how she's so persistent on making me her mate that I thought she's sincere and how she makes thing to annoyed me everytime we cross our path just to get my attention.

All those things I thought disappear when I saw firsthand how she treated her males and other females with less and low stripes males. Those things is not new to me but then she cross the line again. She force herself to my brother.

I hate how she get away from everything she done just because of her connection to the leopard royalties.

She's mated to one of the leopard king's brother and also the sister of that kind female, Jaxon "the leopard king" fancy. That female is kind and beautiful with her blond hair and violet eyes and kind as well but I don't feel anything for her other than appreciation as my other brothers are mated to her and she treated them kindly. If you saw her you wouldn't think that her and Lora are sisters, that female is pure while her sister is evil.

I hate how she used my brother in the same litter to pursue me, she thought I'll give in to her if she force herself into my twin but when her plan didn't work and I didn't accept her, she discard him.

My brother died due to their mating mark being torn. Although he survived the ripping of their mating mark but when he found out, he choose to kill himself, sacrificing himself so that he won't hurt anyone. Knowing that when he become a rootless beast then he'll go insane and kill anyone who he saw.

I cried a lot because I lost my twin, we're from the same litter and we're almost look a like, he's a three stripes beastman but fall into his demise when that witch force herself into him. I hate her so much but I can't do anything to her because she's "a precious female".

I promised myself that I won't mate to her or any female if they only want me for power and protection. I won't mate any less! then one day, after I came back from killing collosals and gaining my fourth mark, I saw a beautiful female with my fellow king and his younger brother sitting at the cubs meadow, where cubs and females are playing or setting a picnic.

I'm mesmerized at how they interact and I can feel her having a kind soul. After hours of observing them, I approach them. My wolf heart pick it's target, just like a fire have been ignite inside of me, I'm sure now that I'm talking to her that I want to be her male to.

I courted her and then finally the day she accepted me comes...

But then not all happy scene happen without the drama, Lora manage to get involved in our fun. That day I planned to give my loves a present made of wood and crystal, it's a simple comb. I wake up early just to go back to her again but half way through Lora and her mates block my way.

She's convincing me to take her as her male as always but I refuse harshly then chrizzie came and confronted her about treating me as a thing. I love how brave my chosen female is, that's what makes me fall for her more.

That very day I got a perfect exchange gift I ever received. I become her official mate.

Days went on, weeks, months, then we found out she's pregnant with tiger cubs which means she's carrying William's cubs making all her mates get so much protective of her, she attract more than males, she got close to some females too making her look so adorable for me and the others.

Then a lot happened, It's so peaceful, she gave birth to cute cubs and months later got pregnant again, she's a blessing through and through.

Lora doesn't appear anymore, I thought she'll stay away from us from now yet: one day, I overheard one of her mate and some of her suitors planning on hurting my mate so I attack them killing them one by one but I didn't see her other mates waiting at the sides, they jump into me when I got distracted and outnumbered me. Even in my tetra marks they manage to rip my belly, but I killed them all at the end. I run fast back to our castle to get treatment but when I saw the ape king and he noticed me bleeding, he immediately take care of me but I fainted. I can't open my eyes but I can hear my surroundings.

I can feel my mate near me, I can hear her cries, a light cought my attention, a warm feelings envelope my body before I feel something heavy up in my stomach.

I slowly open my eyes and saw my mate fainted into me, panicked rose into my heart.

I look around me, and saw the same reaction from her other mates. I look at light and Wilbert because I know they are much knowledgeable about things like this but they shake their head.

Light carry chrizzie and walk slowly to come inside, but before coming in he look at us and especially me. "You need to explain this to us, you almost died, chrizzie can feel it that's why she use her forbidden power to help you" I lowered my head and feel so dejected knowing I put my mate in danger.

We walk inside and goes up to the main bedroom, we look at each other before their stare stays to me.

I explain from where I overheard that bitch's males talking about hurting our mate and how It ended.

"Did you manage to kill them all?" Curtis and luscious ask at the same time making me want to laugh, they have surely a snake telepathy or something, but I suppressed that feeling and nodded.

I know all of Lora's mates so I also know that I killed all of them even if they manage to cut my belly open. They look satisfied by my answer but disappointed at the same time. They told me that we can plan on killing them without making our mate worry and I accepted it.

Then ape king notice my mark disappear. "Atleast you gain something useful to that fight" he pointed at where my marks located before but now gone.

We talk about things and concluded that we must move as soon as possible. As long as our mate wake up we'll talk to her to start our travel.
