Chapter 37: Unexpected Turn

The morning comes, my mates and suitors said goodbye to the villagers of hiraya village. Some single tiger beastman and eagle beastman have chosen a female in hiraya village leaving us with few single eagle beastman.

We congratulate them but feel our lost. Having few flying beastman to protect the females is a bit overbearing.

But still it's much better on flight than on land, light told me that he already spread a large amount of protection for us females making me feel at ease.

The cubs are with us females too, Harvey stayed with me, of course I need his comfort and knowledge especially now that I'm a few months to go. he distracted me for most of the travel. I feel connected to him more and more.

I kissed all my mates cheeks, even my three suitors. I told them to take care before going inside the carrier.

The whole travel is a bit slow and the cubs sleeping heavy breathing making me lull to sleep too couple with Harvey's soft caring voice. I slept to his lap while hugging the basket where my cubs sleeping.

WINSTON POV

I don't know if it's just me or our group is really been followed. I sense someone looking at us from a far, like they been observing us.

The females travel smoothly but we slow down. I think they can sense them too. I look at the two snakes and they nodded letting us know that they sense that too. Even the three beastman with two stripes that courting ziezie. I think they sense it too, I saw them shiver but remain serious. I can't blame them, they are both a herbivore beastman, and base on the smell of those intruders, they smell like a floating beastman.

The group stop when a lot of floating beastman emerge from the river near us. The battle started and I thought we'll have a great chance since we can outnumbered them but more floating beastman emerge from somewhere with some scorpion and a few rootless beast.

I was busy killing and ripping some scorpion when I felt someone rushing at my back with a great speed. I saw a big shadow and I smell a bear beastman so I planned on killing it by it's throat, but a stingy feeling envelope my left legs, I saw the scorpion beastman barely alive hit me with his poison infused tail. I feel the poison enter my body but I ignore it and just crushed that scorpion.

The bear scratch my right side because of it, and it plan on scratching me on my throat but someone pushed me hard.

I saw how William got scratch from his left cheek down to his lips and ends to his right shoulder but he didn't flinch, the bear beastman is a four stripes beastman and I feel it. A few moments the bear collapse due to William having it's heart in his claw killing the beastman immediately.

I killed a few more feral beast, no other feral or rootless beast left alive. Some of the males died, mated and unmated, I saw some of them got a serious scratches and wounds.

Wilbert, Gio and some of the healer we have in the group use their medicine immediately to healed those who needed help. I saw that the three herbivore males have a few small wounds but not as serious as ours.

I rush to William side and I saw how deep his wounds. Although I can feel the poison in my body and have a deep wound in my left side. I can't let it affects me when my brother have a serious one. His face are now scarred. Due to his stripes, his healing is fast. We have an emerald but none of us wanted to have any due to our mate's pregnancy.

She needed it more than us, that's already vows we made. We can't spend it just like that especially when chrizzie's pregnancy is dangerous, we can't forgot how chrizzie bleed after her first pregnancy, although no one mentioned it. We can't let her suffer, it's making us feel useless in times like that.

Gio healed William wound and sprinkle it with herbs, I can saw some males sympathize with their king as his wound will make him unattractive, some voice out that "dying is much better than having a scar" and some already thought that the tiger queen will not favor the tiger king anymore or worse she'll remove the mating mark.

I can't take it anymore so I growl at them, I feel William pull me. "Just let them be" he whisper. I just nodded but feel more guilty, that scar should be his if not for his brother's saving him by pushing him far.

Wilbert look at me in the eyes and gave me a small emerald, I tried to push it but he just glare at me.

"Eat it! Chrizzie can handle scars but not her mate's dying!" He glare at me like my father does when we prank someone before when we're still cubs. "I saw that filthy beast infused you with his venom" I got shock making me swallow the emerald without realizing it. I feel a sudden power boost making me pass out.

A few moments later, I woke up feeling myself floating while moving, my eyes shot open immediately.

"Hi! I'm Gio, the rabbit healer. Congratulations your a tetra mark now" he talk calmly while looking at me. I manage to look around us, we are moving and where on top of Jacob, one of chrizzie's fox mate. He have a white with red tips tails, he have a massive beast form even if he's the youngest of the three.

I tried to move but even with the emerald, I still have a few scratches and some bruises. I look around us again and saw all of us are moving faster. I saw some males with serious injuries being carried by some tiger beastman while the healthy one scattered all around just Incase an attack happened again, they can hurt us that much for this formation.

When the time comes we manage to arrive at the gate of the Castillo Village, I saw chrizzie waiting for us with Harvey and light calming her, I saw how the cubs rub their crying mother. Some females of the decease males also waited crying but not as broken hearted as my mate. She look like her whole world collapse.

I run towards her even if my body hurts in my every move. I hug her tight, "were fine love, nothing to cry on, shhh! It's okey" the other comes to her to and hug her, William hides at the back of dark like a shadow.

Chrizzie walk towards them, I saw how she gently pull William and hug him.. "I t–thought I–i'll lo—ose you" she hug him tight before looking at all of us, she told me to come close to her. She hug me too like how she hug William before looking back at him. She saw his long scar in his face making him gasp before hugging William again.

"Atleast you came back to me alive, I can't lose any of you" she cried hugging us all even her soon to be mates. We manage to calm her down before she fall asleep.
