The playground was bustling with the laughter and shouts of children playing, but amid the joyful noise, the small sound of crying could be heard near the sandbox. "Hey, are you okay?" Taehyung asked softly, his voice soothing like a gentle breeze.
Jungkook looked up, his big, tear-filled eyes meeting Taehyung's. He sniffled, wiping his nose with the back of his hand, but the tears kept coming.
Taehyung quickly pulled out a handkerchief from his pocket, one that his mother always made him carry. He dabbed at Jungkook's cheeks, carefully wiping away the tears. "Don't cry. It's okay, I'll help you," he said, his small hands moving gently.
Jungkook hiccupped, calming down a little as he felt the comforting presence of the older boy. "I... I fell," he explained, his voice still quivering.
Taehyung nodded understandingly. "Yeah, but you're strong, right? You can get up and play again," he encouraged, his words filled with the simple wisdom of a five-year-old.
