The morning

Morning sunlight filtered through the curtains, casting a warm, golden glow across the room. Jungkook stirred first, slowly waking from a dream that had felt too real. His eyes blinked open, adjusting to the soft light. He became aware of the warmth pressed against him, the familiar weight of an arm draped across his torso.

For a moment, Jungkook forgot where he was. But then the memories from last night came rushing back, and he realized that Taehyung was still curled up against him, his face nestled comfortably in the crook of Jungkook's neck.

Jungkook's breath caught in his throat. Taehyung looked peaceful, his lashes brushing against his cheeks, his soft hair slightly tousled from sleep. There was something so delicate about the way Taehyung rested against him, completely at ease, that it made Jungkook's heart swell with a complicated mix of emotions.

He didn't want to move-didn't want to disturb this rare, intimate moment. But his body betrayed him, a rush of warmth flooding through him as he became more aware of how close they were. The feel of Taehyung's breath against his skin, the subtle rise and fall of his chest, the way their legs were tangled together-all of it made Jungkook's heart race.

He swallowed hard, trying to calm the fluttering in his chest, but it was no use. Every small movement Taehyung made sent another wave of warmth through him, making it difficult to think clearly. Jungkook's mind was a whirlwind of sensations, each one amplified by the fact that this was Taehyung-the boy he had loved for as long as he could remember.

Taehyung shifted slightly, his arm tightening around Jungkook's waist as he burrowed even closer, his lips brushing against Jungkook's collarbone. Jungkook bit his lip, trying to stifle the involuntary gasp that threatened to escape. He could feel every inch of Taehyung's body pressed against his own, and it was driving him crazy.

This wasn't the first time they'd slept together, but it felt different now-charged with an energy that Jungkook couldn't ignore. His feelings for Taehyung had always been intense, but now, with the older boy so close, so vulnerable, it was overwhelming.

But he couldn't-wouldn't-let himself get carried away. Taehyung needed him to be strong, to be the friend he always was. He couldn't afford to let his feelings get in the way, no matter how difficult it was.

Jungkook exhaled slowly, trying to steady his breathing. He forced himself to focus on something else -anything else-besides the way Taehyung's body felt against his. But it was hard when every slight movement, every soft breath, only served to remind him of how much he wanted to hold Taehyung even closer, to never let go.

As if sensing Jungkook's struggle, Taehyung stirred again, his lashes fluttering as he slowly woke up. Jungkook quickly closed his eyes, pretending to be asleep, hoping to avoid any awkwardness.

Taehyung's eyes blinked open, still hazy with sleep, and he looked up at Jungkook's face, so close that he could count the tiny moles scattered across his skin. There was a moment of silence as Taehyung took in the sight of Jungkook's peaceful expression, a small smile tugging at his lips.

Without thinking, Taehyung reached up and gently brushed his fingers against the mole under Jungkook's lips-the one he had always found strangely alluring. He couldn't resist leaning in, pressing a soft kiss to the spot, as if the most natural thing in the world.

Jungkook's eyes snapped open at the touch, his heart pounding so hard he was sure Taehyung could hear it. But Taehyung didn't seem to notice the effect he had on him-he was too busy admiring the way the morning light played on Jungkook's skin, completely oblivious to the storm of emotions raging inside Jungkook.

"Morning, Koo," Taehyung whispered, his voice still thick with sleep. His lips curved into a sleepy smile, so genuine and warm that it made Jungkook's chest ache.

"Morning, Taetae," Jungkook replied, his voice a bit hoarse. He tried to keep his tone light, casual, even as his heart racer

Taehyung didn't move away; instead, he snuggled closer, resting his head against Jungkook's chest. "You're so comfy," he murmured, letting out a contented sigh.

Jungkook's breath hitched, and he had to resist the urge to pull Taehyung even closer. Instead, he settled for wrapping his arm around Taehyung's shoulders, holding him gently as if he were made of glass.

"I'm glad," Jungkook whispered, his voice soft and full of affection.

Taehyung didn't say anything more; he just relaxed in Jungkook's arms, completely unaware of the turmoil he was causing. For him, this was just another morning, another moment with his best friend.

But for Jungkook, it was so much more.

As Taehyung's breathing evened out again, slipping back into the peaceful haze of half-sleep, Jungkook allowed himself a moment to just feel. To savor the warmth of Taehyung in his arms, the way his heart beat in time with his own, the way everything felt so right and yet so painfully wrong.

He knew this moment wouldn't last. Soon, Taehyung would get up, go back to his life, and Jungkook would have to hide his feelings once more. But for now, he allowed himself to hold on a little tighter, to pretend that this was enough.
