Bio:Jim meets Kate at school while he was showing off to other students, zooming his solar surfer around campus, and was told to stop; Jim jerked the surfer to a halt in front of Kate, accidentally throwing mud all over her uniform in a nasty mess, which starts a chain of their disliking each other. Kate also suffers from airsickness, which Jim takes advantage of during their piloting classes at the Academy. Their antagonism culminates after getting into a huge fight and crashing one of the Academy's small training skiffs, because they failed to work together in a training exercise. As punishment for their failure, both Jim and Kate would end up sweeping decks on the new RLS Centurion, with both blaming each other for the incident and hating each other,till Admiral Amelia gives then both a chance to join the navy with both do unknown to them they will be fated to save the empire
