Two men sat at the holotable of the Ghost's bridge playing a game of holotactics. The older man, who had brown hair tied at the end and a chin beard, looked incredibly nervous. He adjusted his green combat outfit and the salvaged armor on his right arm, trying to get comfortable. Across from him, a young man with black hair and brown eyes sat thoughtfully in his chair. He had on black pants and a long sleeved black shirt with a white and blue poncho over it. Unlike his master, he was completely calm.
"I move my Gorger back three places."
"My Assault droid destroys it with a blaster shot." the man, Aurelian, rolled a die and smirked. "I win again, Kanan."
The older man rubbed his head and sighed, "One must never get too cocky with victory, my young student."
"Says the guy who let out a victory cry over our last Sabacc match."
From the cockpit, a green Twi'lek woman in an orange pilot suit walked into the bridge and smirked at the two men playing their games. It was also fun to see Kanan's expression when Aurelian beat him at any game they played. She felt it reinforced the bond the two had as they spent more time together besides training. Aurelian had been a member of the crew for years and Kanan had been teaching him the ways of Jedi for close to a year now and they were both making good progress. Though Kanan was hardly a master at teaching, Aurelian was too agreeable and too disciplined to really push Kanan's abilities as a mentor. With her was an old Astromech droid by the name of Chopper, he rushed over and turned off the holotable as the two prepared for a rematch. The droid laughed and spun its upper half around in satisfaction.
Kanan scowled in irritation. "Chopper!"
"Kriffing droid!" the young man cursed. "Hera! Control this malfunctioning scrapheap!"
Hera smirked and put her hands on her waist. "As much as I want to see Kanan lose again, we have a mission to prepare for." she walked over to the nearby intercom and pressed the power button. "Sabine, Zeb, head down to the bridge. I'll be right back, just let me get the schematics I got."
"I imagine this is about the Wookie situation?" Aurelian asked.
"It is, hopefully we can find a lead instead of relying on Vizago."
"I hate that horned bastard. I almost got shot on that last job he sent us on!"
"Had you not been so reckless, you would've noticed that Stormtrooper around the corner." Kanan scolded.
"Still took him down. Besides, that primitive Imperial tech can't match my Laspistol." Aurelian flaunted his strange gun and set it on the table.
From the side door, two more figures walked in. One was a giant humanoid alien, a Lasat, with purple and white fur that towered over the others, he wore a short sleeved and armored green shirt with matching bracers, along with a green and yellow pants with his feet exposed. He yawned as he took a seat at the opposite end of the table. The other was a human woman, a Mandalorian warrior, she had dyed blue and orange hair. Her armor was coloured in mixes of burgundy, white, and orange with a phoenix emblem on the right side of her chestplate. She had a helmet akin to an owl attached at her hip. The woman and Aurelian smiled at each other, and she took a seat beside him.
"You look happy Sabine," Aurelian said. "Get some new inspiration for your art?"
"Yup, redecorated your room a little too."
"da mihi vires." the black haired man commented in his native tongue.
"Relax, you'll love it." the Mandalorian assured him. "If not, I'll paint my armor however you want."
"Hmm, what do you think Zeb?"
"Oh, have her make it pink." the Lasat joked.
Hera walked back into the room and inserted a disc into the holotable. A diagram of a large Imperial base appeared that seemed to be heavily fortified. Kanan narrowed his eyes as he examined the structure along with Sabine, Zeb looked at it emotionlessly while Aurelian admired the symmetrical design of Imperial architecture. It was similar to what he saw in his homeland, though vastly different as well.
