Naomi stood in front of a holographic image displaying a large mural outside the Royal Imperial Academy on Coruscant. She looked at the photo taken during her graduation ceremony, which she realized was only a few months ago. She stood amongst her fellow students, each one in a standard training uniform staring stoically in front of the camera.
"Taking a trip down memory lane, Operative Naberrie?" an aged voice asked.
Naomi looked to her right and saw the old and experienced ISB Major Lio Partagaz approach her. She immediately turned to the officer and stood straight, saluting as he moved closer. Working under such a renowned member of the ISB meant a lot to her, and to her career so she wanted to impress. Kallus was a good enough commanding officer but Naomi didn't want to follow his orders forever.
"At ease." the Major spoke. "Walk with me. I'll brief you on your mission."
"Yes sir."
As the two walked, the Major pulled out a datapad and passed it over to the young recruit. Naomi examined the datapad, there were a lot of details about a few recent events that had caught the attention of ISB High Command and most of them were above her clearance.
"I trust you know about the raid on Aldanhi and the Ferrix incident?"
"Yes sir, I saw the events on the holonet. But these reports... I don't have clearance for any of th–"
"For the sake of the mission, I believe you'll be effective if you know exactly what we're looking for. Since the Ferrix incident, our trail on Nexus has gone cold. Thankfully, we've found a potential lead. The Harian family controls a considerable deal of shipping companies and outsources multiple factories to Sinear Systems."
"The Harian family? I've heard of them. What proof do we have about a potential connection to Nexus?"
"None, but there has been an increase in Rebel raids against TIE production and weapons factories across the Outer Rim. The only link to these attacks is that all the raw materials and internal processor's for the TIES are from Harian owned families. As for the connection to Nexus, captured rebel informants hint to a similar underground network used on Ferrix. You will be sent undercover to a party hosted by the Harian family. Try to find any link between the Harians and rebel activity."
"Understood, but may I ask a question, sir?"
"What is it?"
"Why me? Surely there are more experienced agents that could be sent in."
"You're a Naberrie, part of a family already well known across the galaxy. You'll have an easier time infiltrating the event with your status. Furthermore, this operation is a progress examination of candidates in the ISB Graduate Mentorship Program. You, and others like you shall plan and carry out this mission under the supervision of myself and other senior staff members."
"We won't disappoint, Major Partagaz."
"I should hope not. Now, the briefing will be in two days. Until then, feel free to enjoy the sights of Coruscant, I imagine it's a welcome sight compared to the barren rocks of the Outer Rim."
The Operative saluted as the Major walked off, once he was gone Naomi took a deep breath and looked around the streets. She had two days in the Galactic Capital and decided to spend her free time catching up with family.

In a high-rise apartment, close to the Senate building, Naomi rode the elevator in silence as she let out a long winded sigh. She was internally praying this visit wouldn't end in another fight, but knowing her sister it probably would. When the doors opened, she walked down the hallway of the apartment where another woman greeted her. The woman was a few years older than Naomi and they looked incredibly similar, with a smile the older woman moved forward and hugged the Imperial operative.
