The Ghost was docked on a grassy field on Lothal, Hera was inside while the others were all helping with the padawans Jedi training. Aurelian was blindfolded while Ezra wore a cadet helmet for protection. Sabine, Chopper, and Zeb shot low-powered blaster bolts out which the two were meant to block and deflect. Aurelian was having an easy time, the metal in his staff stopped most shots and the small blade was enough to block and redirect blaster fire to a stolen Stormtrooper helmet. His was completely covered in scorch marks while Ezra had yet to redirect a shot.
"Ezra, you've got the blocking down for the most part, but you shouldn't just randomly deflect the energy any which way. You've yet to hit the target I gave you." Kanan gestured to the Stormtrooper helmets, one damaged and burned and the other pristine.
Ezra got distracted and looked to Kanan, "'Yet'! Key word is 'yet'."
Kanan groaned, rubbed his eyes and signaled for everyone to stop. "You're distracted, impatient. What's your rush?"
The padawan unclasped the faceplate of his helmet and replied, "I don't want to miss Senator Trayvis's transmission."
"You put a lot of faith in a man who transmits randomly." the prince noted, taking off his blindfold.
"He's been on more frequencies lately, and I have a feeling. Today's the day."
"Well, I have a feeling you're gonna get stunned if you don't stay in the moment. This moment. Aurelian, take a break and get on the firing squad."
Aurelian nodded and set his laspistol to the lowest setting possible, making the deadly laser bolt more like a taser. Ezra put his helmet's faceplate back down and got ready, his teammates opened fire and he sloppily dodged and blocked incoming fire. Kanan looked slightly disappointed but Ezra kept trying. The boy's mind began to wonder as he began to see images and hear voices he didn't recognize. Taking off the faceplate to breath, Ezra tried to make sense of what he was seeing.
"You there." a voice rang out.
"Senator, you're in terrible danger." Hera's voice echoed.
"Put your saber down, boy, now!"
"The Empire knows you're here. Stay close, Senator."
"You want me to go in there?"
Ezra lost consciousness as more images flooded his mind. He saw himself and another surrounded by Stormtroopers, another one of the team and a man by a tunnel while taking fire, Stormtroopers pouring in from access points, and finally Senator Trayvis talking to someone.
"Your parents were very brave."
Ezra gasped and groaned as he woke up, visibly confused. "I got stunned, didn't I?"
"Quite the opposite actually. You did good." Aurelian praised. "Until you passed out."
"No, you deflected every blast back at the target." Kanan told the boy with a hint of pride.
"I saw something."
"Saw? You had a vision?"
"I saw Gall Trayvis. Kanan, he knew my parents!" Ezra got up with Kanan's help and continued. "It was so real. You two were there," he said, looking at the couple. "and... and you were there, sneaking around in the dark. Troopers were everywhere."
"Ah yes, because we never get chased by the Empire." the prince replied, sarcastically.
"Lian's got a point. Sounds like a pretty average day." Sabine added.
"Except... Senator Trayvis was there, fighting side by side with us. And he said he knew my parents!"
"Right. Look, Ezra, just because you want something to happen doesn't mean it's going to." the master advised.
