Yawn.

Every other minute, the pale, silvery-haired boy with an ebony eye patch couldn't help but yawn.

His name is Cruel.

He stands amidst the royal cathedral of Ulnzvet, wearing a classic black and white tuxedo.

It's a bright sunny morning, just the perfect weather for gatherings.

Harmoniously, the heavenly architecture of the building reflects the sun's rays all over the place. Gently basking everyone with warmth.

"I don't even know anyone here." Bothered by the endless noise and chatter around him, Cruel walks to a dull corner, where fewer people gathered.

"This royal summoning is taking so long." He pondered to himself as he sighed, hanging his shoulders low - making his average, lean figure less noticeable.

With nothing to do, Cruel looked up at the tall ceiling, admiring the kaleidoscopic paintings all over it.

At once, his neatly styled front hair with dark orange tips, fell to the sides of his face.

"There you are, my boy!" A familiar gravelly voice called his attention.

Cruel glances to his side, where the voice came from. "Don Z... can I just go home?" With furrowed brows, he asked the tall, white-haired male called 'Don Z'.

He is a middle-aged man with a robust physique. And he has a full mustache that shows his years. The old man donned a formal suit paired with a stunning white cape. Principally, he strikes an intimidating look in the eyes of many.

But despite his threatening appearance, he was a nobleman, and the current head of the Lawsin family — one of the leading three families in the Ulnzvet empire.

Don Z listened to Cruel's plea, only to laugh hard enough that his shoulders shook.

"That won't do, Ladislas, my boy." Don Z pats the fellow on the head, ruffling Cruel's fluffy hair.

"As my heir, you must learn how to handle these events from now on." With a gentle tone, Don Z spoke to the teen.

Cruel sighed, accepting defeat. "Yes, father... I mean, Don." He corrected himself in the middle of his sentence, making the Don smile.

"Good, Ladislas." Don Z nods in approval. "Now, I shall excuse myself while I grab another glass of beer." With his huge hand, Don Z patted the boy's back one last time, right before walking past and leaving the teen alone.

"Ugh... I almost forgot his title in public..." Cruel brooded to himself, his striking amber eye filled with vexation.

Refusing to shame his father, Don Zenoeus Lawsin III, Cruel only speaks formally to protect the Don's reputation.

And just when the boy thought he could finally enjoy his solitude...

He suddenly heard a youthful, feminine voice behind him.

"Woah, look at you."

Cruel turned around and saw a lady with fairly tan skin. She wore a captivating purple bodycon dress which accentuated her curvy figure.

With no emotions on his face, Cruel glanced at her from head to toe.

Yet, despite the visual treat in front of him, he rolled his only visible eye and crossed his arms.
