Alone With Him...

The Flashback Continues....

Prachi :

It was 7 Am in the morning and I was helping Sonali aunty in preparing the breakfast, almost everything was prepared. I garnished the Poha with coriander and told the house help to serve everything on the dining table.
meanwhile Sonali Aunty was garnishing the fruit salad.

"Prachi, rest will all be done by the staff, you've already done a lot by cooking so many dishes, why you always prepare this lauki ka halwa everyday?" Sonali aunty asked me and I smiled.

" Come let's wait in the dining hall until everyone join us." She said.

I came to the dining hall and started helping the staff in arranging the dining table.

Soon everyone joined us but I was still waiting for him, while playing with my food.

I haven't seen him after the dinner last night. I remember after the cake cutting, we all enjoyed the dinner together and then he left to drop Vikram Sir and Shruti to their home.

Soon, the guests started leaving and I retired to my room as well. I changed to my simple clothes and slept thinking about him.

I woke up at 5 am but haven't met him since morning. I was getting restless to see him. I was missing his smile, his eyes, his face, his voice, his cologne, his everything.

"What happened Prachi Di, are you not liking the food, it's so tasty?" Avni asked me looking at my plate.

This brought everyone's attention to me.

" Umm...no no it's not like that, I'm just not that hungry today." I tried to escape with an excuse but then I saw him walking towards the dining table.

A small smile appeared on my lips just by his mere glimpse.

He was talking to someone on his phone while coming, maybe to his colleague or client.

But my smile vanished as he came close and his voice fell on my ears.

" Yeah Shruti, I will pick you up from your place, no problem. I will be there in an hour." He cut the call and sat on his dining chair.

My heart dropped hearing Shruti's name from him, I looked down to hide the water that appeared in my eyes.

He was talking to Shruti all this while and also he was going to meet her after an hour. I felt a tug in my heart.

"Kushaal, you're not ready yet, are you not getting late for Hospital?" Sonali aunty asked.

"Mumma, actually I was thinking about taking a leave for today as, Riddhima and Aman's wedding date is approaching close and we still have a lot to do, including all the shopping and wedding card selection." He said.

" Also, I have to take Shruti to the mall, she wants to do shopping for the wedding." He added.

" That's a good idea, we all will accompany you and Shruti to the mall, I will shop some more lehangas for my wedding." Riddhima said.

" Fine we all will go to the mall for shopping today, even I will buy new sarees and Jewellery for the wedding." Sonali aunty said.

"But before that, I need to finish some pending work." He said taking the last bite of his food and then gulping down the juice.

" I will finish the work till you all get ready." He said standing up from the table.

"Wait Kushaal, atleast try this lauki ka halwa which Prachi have made, it's heavenly delicious." Sonali aunty said to him.
